Ouch. smid and whitney wouldn't be 1st pair on alot of teams, but with all the ice time they're getting, it has worked to their advantage. they are now both very solid NHL dmen. the rest of their d corps is nothing to get excited about, but those 2 are really good. as for eberle's goal, that was sick. maybe the nicest 1st NHL goal ever. and that includes lemieux's 1st goal.
