Icesurfer 75 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 I can't believe no one posted a thread about that deliberate elbow to Salei's face that rearranged his nose. If it was Lidstrom, Rafalski, Kronwall or Stuart who received that blow fans would have been all over it. Hits to the head are suspendible offenses.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 Video and who hit salei? Duncan Keith, who isn't known for making dirty plays.
servo 15 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 I saw it. Since I only had the Chicago commentators to listen to, all I heard was how great Eddie's hair was or something like that. It occured at center ice away from the play. The event was on the edge of my screen. It was difficult to catch any details other than Salei skating off to the bench. esteef 2,679 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 For those keeping score at home, that's one blatant elbow to the face of Salei and one obvious blindside hit to the head on Datsyuk. Both of them ignored by the refs and the league (so far). But hey, the Wings win a lot so f*** 'em. esteef

SpIkE 17 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 How neither of those cheap shots (salei being elbowed and Datsyuk getting a blindside hit) were called penalties makes one wonder how the f*** the NHL could hire such ignorant and retarded refs.

hooon 1,089 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 suspension worthy? Yes. Will he get one? No. This. Even if its not suspension worthy.... wtf are the refs looking at? Every year the reffing gets worse, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this year is any different. The one on Datsyuk was just so obvious, I'm SHOCKED they missed it. The NHL never ceases to embarrass itself.
Hey man nice shot! 144 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 If they don't take action on keith then there new rules are a joke....make a example out of a popular player then we can take it seriously.
jollymania 162 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Salei is a tough guy, he will definitely be looking for revenge, and hopefully he gets some against keith who apparently has a free pass
Miss Wing Queen 154 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) Well, the thing is is that the whole league talks about it before it becomes an official rule and makes such a flurry over it, and now that it is in the handbook, the refs do the routine thing and completely ignore any official call pertaining to it, especially when it concerns the Wings. They only can "do their job" when they call imaginary penalties*. *See 2010 Stanley Cup Playoff Quarter-Finals Phoenix vs. Detroit and 2010 Stanley Cup Playoff Semi-Finals San Jose vs. Detroit. . Their whole goal is not to make a monetary profit but to make the Wings lose. Edited October 11, 2010 by LarryMurphySpecial
