I'm just wondering if anyone knows who does and doesn't have a cup ring on the roster. I mean i know the obvious ones, but i don't know a lot of the new comers like salei and i'm too lazy to look.

I don't think Bertuzzi has a Cup and Modano has 1 Stanley Cup ring with Dallas. Rafalksi has three rings. Miller also won the Cup with the Ducks.

I think he and Howard were, and possibly Kindl and Abby. All were with the organization, and might have rings, but they weren't a real part of the team, and I don't think any of their names are on the Cup. (You need a fairly good reason to petition for ineligible additions.) But I believe the Wings do award rings to all the black aces.Wasn't Ericcson a black ace in 08 his name might be on the cup.

To my knowledge, Derek Meech is the only ineligible player from the 2008 team who was petitioned for successfully to have his name added.

Rings are given by the franchise, so they can be awarded to whoever the franchise feels should have one. For example, if star center Billy Williams were to demands a trade away from Phoenix. He is traded to another franchise for several quality players who then blossomed given more opportunity, and Phoenix goes on to win the Cup. Phoenix can give Billy a Cup ring if they want to.
