Not top 4 but theyll make the playoffs I think.

Their work ethic is impressive. Their D is much improved, better goaltending too as well as key saved. If this was last year they would have probably lost game 1 and last night but their D didn't fold in the 3rd periods of both games.

I totally agree, they look like a young hungry team. But how long will that last ? Their D looks good, but have been exposed for alot of flaws with fast elusive players, the monster im not sold on, he played bad in the pre-season and didn't look that good yesterday. Time will tell I guess, but I agree they have improved since last years team.

I think the Leafs will contend for a playoff spot. They don't have elite talent (although their D and goaltending are above average), but they seem to be playing well as a team.

I am rooting for the Leafs to do well this year. Other than the Wings, I probably watch the Leafs most of the time.

I'd rather have the Habs win out, then have the leafs win at all.

Good for them. Their Defense is just amazing, thats probably why. If their defense can hold up, they'll be in the playoffs.

Ahhh Lebda?!

What kind of color is red? Red is a warning, a declaration, a color that says I'm ready to do what it takes. Red is focused and driven because red doesn't like second place. So what kind of color is red? Their kind.

For the record they had 14 shots on goal last night.

That is just abysmal.

They broke out the defensive shell late in the 2nd period. Didn't even attempt to create offense in the 3rd. I was shocked they held on. Gustavsson made a bunch of huge saves.

Funny things can happen when you only have a small sample size.

Even though it is the Loafs..

On paper they have a squad that should get them in the playoffs. Whether or not they Toronto Maple Leaf the rest of the season or not is yet to be seen, but sooner or later they've gotta do something with one of these perennial-flopper teams.

The biggest difference I see in the team is that the bottom-six are far superior to last year's team. Good PK forwards and guys that bust their tails.

Oh, and no Vesa Toskala is huge.

Leafs are having a huge 2nd period, 3 unanswered goals and look like they got the Rags on their heels for the most part. Very good hustle.

Looks like Gaborik got injured again. I didn't see what happened but it sounds like it happened earlier in the second.

Their fans should still keep their ankles taped.

That was a really entertaining game; lots of momentum swings. I wish Komisarek would've done something worse in his retaliation to Avery. Giguere also came up huge right at the end of the third with that split second pad save.

They still play two more games in the next couple weeks, so there will be lots of time for that if one of the games is a blowout.
