Forsberg. Even out of his prime.

Fischer. Imagine his ginormousness still patrolling the ice.

Doughty or Weber. To replace Nick.

Almost anyone who shoots like Hull or Shanahan.

Ty Conklin. (The realest of all real backups :P)

I always wanted to see Rob Blake in the Winged Wheel.

Like a lot of other people have already said, I'd like to see Ryan Miller, Kesler, Bobby Ryan, and Hossa still on the team. There are others, but it's 8:16. I'll remember them later.

Duncan Keith would be awesome, too.

I gotta go with the audience on this one, Kessler would be a nice fit.

I always wanted to see Selanne here during his prime, as well as Chara. To go back a few years, Al MacInnis would have been freaking awesome to have on the Wings.

Like a lot of people have said in this thread I think Kesler would be the perfect 2nd line center on this team.

Shayne Corson or Gary Roberts both would have been nice in their prime. I would take Mike Richards over almost anyone in the NHL. Getzlaf is another guy that I would take over almost anyone.

Brian Rolston
Ryan Kesler
Dion Phaneuf
Mark Recchi
Mike Richards
Zach Parise
Simon Gagne (when he isn't hurt)

Rolston and Recchi were more from several seasons ago when they were UFA's and slightly younger.

logically speaking... obviously would love a guy like ovie, heatley, kovalchyk or rick nash on pavel's wing

but realistically... players we may or may not be able to afford and could be great with a dats z setup IMO are...

alex burrows, ryan malone, james neal, mike fisher (hes a center... maybe not with dats and z but nevertheless adds an element the wings lack), david backes, steve downie, chris stewart, dustin brown
not only can all these boys play hockey.... they add a physical presence and for the most part would be SWEET with dats and z or on 2nd line even

are you kidding? it would be just as sick as the henrik daniel burrows line.... except it would be henrik z pavel burrows

a line of zberg datsyuk burrows would be pretty sweet for more then one reason... as would any of these guys.

z dats neal/backes/malone/downie/brown/stewart

you think anaheim/perry/getslapped would go after z and dats if burrows or any of these other fellas mentioned were the third memeber of the line? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT.

Modano- Got him! (wanted him about 5-10 years ago)
Ryan Miller- after Osgood retires.
Always wanted Osgood back once he got booted.
Wanted Hatcher- that didn't work so well.
Iginla-Would love to see him and Zetterberg together.
Pronger-
Teemu Selani- could you imagine him and Federov together back in the day.
Big Buff- to learn from Homer how to be the next net presence.
Nash
Doane-But he can leave the goofy expressions in Phoenix.
JS Gigierre- from a few years ago-not anymore though.
Always wanted Cujo- got him thought he was treated like crap and wanted him over Hasek.
Willie Mitchell- oh man thought we were going to get him this summer.
Federov- yup wanted him back when he went to Washington. Thought he would have been a great depth player to add for the playoff run.
M Satan.- Was another one that I thought would have been a GREAT pickup when he was available a few years ago.
Avery- pure entertainment and skin crawling.
Pfaneuf-
Camalleri-
P bergeron
Savard

I'll stop now.
Stuck in God-forsaken North Central Iowa with no hockey, hills, food or trees!
