cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted October 23, 2010 From Minneapolis Star-Tribune: Soon after Gary Bettman slapped Rick Rypien with a six-game suspension Friday, the NHL commissioner called the Wild fan who the Vancouver Canucks agitator accosted and offered him dinner and some tickets."He said, 'Sorry about the events, and players should never, ever put their hands on a fan,' " said James Engquist, appreciative of Bettman's gesture. Nhurdi 42 Report post Posted October 26, 2010 Rypien had an interview that is posted on the TSN website. Says he knew what he did was wrong once he did it and says that he feels he has been treated fairly on it. On a side note, I was surfing the net and wonder what these guys got. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra_NB1l-hsk&feature=player_embedded

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted November 26, 2010 Good for the Canucks, for standing by this guy. They remind me of another great team, taking care of their own. Hope Rypien gets things straightened out soon.
