This third line needs a shakeup


Unless Holland considers trading Cleary/Hudler, I don't think we have much of a choice.

s*** happens when you let up 15+ shot a period. happened a lot this season already

i dont know whats going on. no offense, all playing in the defensive zone. howard has been awesome cant fault him on either goals

Sweet. This dude was brought here for one reason, to punch people in the head - every other thing that he can do, other Wings can do better. I like that we have a head-puncher. The league has other, better head-punchers, but this one is ours. Better than nothing. Good work, Kenny!

The weird thing is the Wings know they all gotta do better and what their doing wrong but aren't fixing it, just read a tsn article stating this.

I wonder how long it'll be until Howard is blamed for those goals he had no chance of preventing.


A rare occasion where I'm going to jump on board with you in this one... It seems that no matter how much of a reasonable chance, or should I say utter and complete lack of a reasonable chance, our goalies have to make the save, nice you hit 3-4 GA, the goalie automatically is the problem. It's idiotic. Nothing a goalie can do but hope the puck hits him when your defense sabotages you on plays like the ones we've observed too often with this team.

I don't care what you say about this though: our defense for the third straight season is profoundly inconsistent. This team will struggle unnecessarily until they get the defense playing somewhat close to the level they are more than capable of playing at. These issues with sloppy coverage all boil down to nothing more than mental laziness.

McCrimmon very well may not be the reason for this problem, but he certainly hasn't been able to offer any semblance of a solution.

Yea I'd probably agree with this. All our other lines have been solid so far and I wouldn't really want any of them split up. I wouldn't be against a Hudler trade right now :hehe:
