Only 8,820, that's not even half of the arena full. I haven't really watched any of there games but there 3-3-0 on the season, have they really been that bad to alienate their fans or do they just not have any?

Didn't Phoenix have a game last season with some astoundingly low attendance like 3500 or something?
Hockey failed in Atlanta before, I don't know why they thought it would thrive this time... that franchise needs to go elsewhere... it's a shame too, because they actually have a pretty exciting, young team...

yes they did though Columbus fans dont care i lived there for 3 years and unless it has to do with buckeyes people in columbus want no part of it, especially if its hockey.Didn't Columbus have 9,000 and a change last night?
but the low attendance seems a bit discouraging anyone know if the average is down as a whole this year?

In my opinion, Atlanta has been the most likely franchise to move for the past year or two... and I think having no present and virtually no future after losing Kovalchuk and trading away picks and prospects for Byfuglien and friends will only speed the process.

When the two teams have something like one playoff appearance and no playoff wins in a combined 20 seasons of existence, I mean we're talking hard core futility, and the only traditional market that tolerates that level of suck and comes back is Maple Leafs fans.

I saw live segments from that game on NHL On The Fly and couldn't believe how empty sections near the glass were. It was a ghost town.

How about moving Columbus to Yellowknife or Juneau? I'm in Athens (OH) and I see more LA Kings jerseys than CBJ. Strangely enough, the Kings' fans are very hockey-wise around here and I have no idea where they all came from.

As hockey is religion in canada i think canada deserves to have more nhl teams there, would be good for the nhl and the whole world to be honest...
