Pav ought to have had 2-3 assists as well, McNobody had a good game against Pav's shooters though.

Ken did, and I was worried it was going to result in us getting a penalty.

Lilja had one good play then played like Lilja the rest of the game. We got lucky the Ducks have terrible terrible defense.

Howard just tied Ozzie's post-lockout consecutive regulation wins record, nice.

My stream was very delayed but it was worth the wait to see that shift at the end. Datsyuk is a genius!

Detroit Red Wings: Making Anaheim fans rage since 2009.

How did Howard have a rough game?

Howard had some good saves and was completely hung out to dry by his defense, but when the D finally got their heads out of their asses he lets in a brutal go-ahead goal.

He also seemed to be way too out of position in the third period. Didn't end up costing him but there were a few scary points in the game.

He didn't have a "horrible" game, but it wasn't that great, either. Either way we got the two points.

They must do something about the third line.. were they combined -6 tonight? and -3 or 4 since before... just give it up babcock it won't work

Can't wait until rafalski returns so they can fix the d-pairings... i've lost some love for janik and kindl isn't ready yet, especially not PP-time.

How did Howard have a rough game?

By getting out of position, swimming too much and that 4th goal by Selanne was really bad...

Great game. Especially for Hank and Dats. Holy moly. Homer too.

Cleary must love the last couple minutes of a game because he actually gets to play with Dats and Z instead of being stuck with Hudler and Modano. He did a lot of hard work in those final minutes keeping the puck deep and in the Wings' possession.

They could put together a lowlight real of Modano's half-assed puck pursuit. He plays like he's a first line sniper and not a third line center.

They must do something about the third line..

And do what? You can't mess with the top two lines. I'd rather just have them try and get through it and play better than breaking up the bottom pairing lines.

The only other option I'd suggest would be to bench Modano and Hudler when Abdelkder and Draper come back.

The only thing surprising about this win is that it wasn't sealed until there were < 20 seconds left in the game. The Wings deserved to win 13-3. The Selanne goal wasn't the best for Jimmy to let in, but Jimmy was good enough and the Wings beat a goalie who was outstanding despite allowing 5 goals. Terrific game by Zetterberg.

Datsyuk is just ridiculous. Ridiculous. Every time he has the puck, something good happens. The most exhilarating player I've ever watched, and I'm pretty old.

You notice who Pavel deked out on that last play? Lilja.

I thought the Wings played pretty well. Howard played a good game, not excellent, but not poor. Winning 5 of their 7 games really shows what this team is made of. I feel that this team is going to get better as time goes on. I expect to see the chemistry form in the 3rd line and the defense will get better when Rafalski comes back. All around good game, and now they can rest up until next week Thursday.

Because all 4 of them were his fault. Did we not just watch the same game?
