Because they're hockey players and not ***** football players. Broken leg, no big deal i skate to the medic's office. Skate to the throat, no biggie, I'll skate to the bench to get another guy on the bench. Broken neck and back, pshhhh, happened in peewees, I'll walk it off.

Football: Sweet mother of God someone stepped on my toe, let's delay the game five minutes while I lay on the ground and then proceed to walk off under my own power.

Uhh was this comment even necessary? It has no relevant meaning other than you trying to attack the sport of football and it's players for whatever dumb reason you have against it.

Ok so you take two made up stories that are exaggerated WAY beyond reality. Great. Here's a newsflash, football and hockey are two COMPLETELY different sports. That doesn't automatically make either one "*******". Try comparing some apples to apples this time. You're not doing your favorite sport any favors.

Or you can fracture a vertabra, and not know that it has been broken at all.

This. I used to be a huge wrestling fan, and one of the gals broke her neck doing stunts for a tv spot and didn't even realize it for almost a month.

As far as Nylander goes, it's a shame to see someone hurt like that. I'm just glad he hasn't got any spinal cord issues to contend with during rehab. Here's to hoping a speedy recovery for the guy.

Guest Crymson

GMR demands that Meech be recalled immediately. He clearly has grit and the willingness to goon it up.

And Crymson hates Meech for the same reasons.

I don't. I miss Torrie. Especially before she had her many facial reconstructive surgeries.

I miss her even more.

Anyway, the whole thing is a freak accident, but I didn't see anything horribly dirty about the hit. Just bad luck that's all.

My post was sound and valid, others got the point of my post, don't get mad if you can't get it.

There are no made up stories. Every single one of those things has happened in the past calendar year. Sorry if football is your favorite sport, you'll get over it.

How often do we see a play end with a player laying on the field, only to delay the game and then get up and walk away perfectly fine in football? Every series at least, unless you're the Lions and go three and out every time. You NEVER see that in hockey. Hockey players are 125% tougher than football players according to a true stat I just made up.

Plus, it's closer to apples and apples than apples to oranges. Mmmm, apples.

Or you can fracture a vertabra, and not know that it has been broken at all.

But more than likely, it's because all football players are *******????? Can we exaggerate just a little more.

If you read his quotes, Nylander stated he knew he was in big big trouble following the hit.

I didn't say all football players. It's like saying Americans are fat: The majority are, but not all of us are. But if you'd honestly like me to exaggerate more, i can, just for you ;)

This thread has been full of exaggeration already. From people claiming that Brendan Smith is a huge pile of crap if he did this to losing respect for the him and the scouting system. Now that the video is showing that it wasn't a bad hit, this topic should be dead and buried. The only fitting end to a thread like this would be apologies from everyone who did point fingers at Meech, Smith, and the organization for wrongdoing. That takes balls to do though which is why we will never see it.

I miss Lita.

This is a totally random story, but I went to the MotorCity Comic Con this year for a friend's bachelor party and Lita was there. She looked like s***; but we took shuttles from our hotel to the Convention both days - the first day Dawn Marie was on it with us and Molly Holly rode it the second.

My brush with fame.
