PREVIEW:

The Grand Rapids Griffins will be looking for their first home win of the season when they host the Oklahoma City Barons. The Griffins sit 2nd in the North Division with 9 points from 7 games, Oklahoma City meanwhile have played a league high 10 games and have gained 11 points, good for fourth in the West Division. Leading the Griffins is 22 year old forward Jan Mursak who leads the Griffins with 4 goals and 7 points and shares the league lead with 2 SH goals. Rookie Brent Raedeke is coming off a strong two goal game, as is Ilair Filppula.

Thomas McCollum is expected to get the start with Joey MacDonald likely to still be in Detroit as cover for Jimmy Howard. Defenceman Logan Pyett has missed five straight games through injury and if he still hasn't recovered, Sebastian Piche may step in. Good oppertunity this for the Griffins to record consecutive victories and their first win in front of their home crowd.
