The wings are on fire right now. I really think we're going to see a blowout this game, a win of at least 4 goals.

I'm also predicting a goal and fight with Colin Fraser for Abdelkader, maybe even the Gordie Howe

oh and datsyuk will do something sweet

Fraser leads the Oilers in PIM so far and hes Abdelkader's weight class so maybe we'll see fireworks. Better see Abby drop the visor before throwing. Edmonton has a fairly gritty team this year.

Here we have a team that isn't so successful and the Wings think their talent can just get them by. It's games like these that sometimes worry me even more than a "big" game against a team that is perhaps within the top of the league in regards to points. I just hope the Wings respect the Oilers with their approach; prepare and compete hard.

I expect the Wings to pull it out, but Edmonton and their kids will probably bring their A-game for us, especially at home. We might get caught with our pants down early on. Unless Habby really sieves it up, I see a two-goal win in the cards.

Good point, I had forgotten how they do tend to relax a bit against teams like this. They need to play hard every game because that's where we get into trouble thinking it's an "easy" win.

Go Wings!

yeah I think i saw that Babcock was bringing Hudler back into the lineup tonight...he was unsure who he was going to scratch for him though...

It sounds like if Franzen sits hudler will play, if franzen is in hudler is out for the third consecutive game.

Would be nice to keep pace with the blues who are on fire right now. I say wings win 4-2.

So is vancouver, 5 wins in a row and they face them tomorrow in a back-to-back game... im scared already

The Oilers will come out strong tonight. Hopefully Khabibulin has another poor game and we can light him up for a couple. If we play like we did against Calgary, we'll win.

I'm pumped for this game. I haven't been able to catch the Oilers yet. Just hopefully the Wings don't take them for granted and lay back.

I am however not excited about the fact the game is in FS+ the quality on that channel is awful. I can barely tell which line is out since it looks like 5 blurry snowballs skating around.

Tell me about it, FSD+ is horrid.

Joey chips a nail, so Ozzie is put in as backup since you don't use your groin when charting face-offs.

At the end of the first, the score is 0-0. JHo has faced no shots, so he goes out for a beer during intermission. Finding a nice microbrewery that produces a hearty, yet lilting ale, he loses track of time and fails to return to the game.

With 15 seconds left in the second period, Horcroff rings one off the post, and everyone notices that the Wings have had an empty net for the entire period. Ozzie drops his chart, grabs his helmet, but due to the groin injury, he is too late to get to the net, the Oilers get the rebound, and score.

Ozzie plays the third.

Final score: Wings 3, Oilers 1.

Ozzie with the hat trick.

LGW complains that he should have had the "soft" goal, and that his scoring is "streaky".
