My best friend is a huge Blues fan, so there is always a lot of trash talk when we play the Blues. Hope we play a full 60 minute game tonight.

Althought ill probably have to miss it due to having to be on a ambulance most of the evening.

This is a big game early on. Even with all the injuries and minor slump the Blues are in right now, they can't be taken lightly since they have a hard working gritty team. The Wings hopefully won't take them easily and I doubt Babcock would allow that. If they play them like a division contender they might just be, then the Wings should win this one solidly.

Seriously why do the Pistons get placed above the Wings? Shouldn't the pistons be put on +?

Nope, I've got Charter. At my apartment I have the extended basic (which includes FSN). I have to go to my parents place or a bar that has Charter's full blown package to get FSD+. But even then the picture quality is ATROCIOUS.

Nope, I've got Charter. At my apartment I have the extended basic (which includes FSN). I have to go to my parents place or a bar that has Charter's full blown package to get FSD+. But even then the picture quality is ATROCIOUS.

I don't think Charter carries FSD+ in HD, last i read, i'm from sweden so i haven't got personal experience from it it's just what i read...

No they do not even offer it in HD. But even FSN non HD is watchable, FSN+ on the other hand; looks like a bunch of fuzzy snow balls skating around. I've got both FSN and FSN-HD but to get that blasted channel 88 I need to fork over an extra $15 for a more premium package, uh no thanks.

That's in Edmonton though, I don't know if FSD takes their own cameras or tap into the ones at the arena. I would assume it's the latter, but it varies from team to team. Like Dallas and Atlanta have HD broadcast but every once and a while they have the kind with the pillar-boxing (SD video with bars).

If only I had the opportunity to go into the field of television broadcasting, I find it all very interesting...though know only a very little about it.

i live in st louis, so i hate losing to the blues. wore my Lidstrom jersey to work and have my zetterberg, 2 yzerman, shanny, feds, and practice jersey hanging in my sports room. can't wait for this game, we need a win for my sake.

I think it's more of an issue with the cameras at the arena, plus the lighting on the ice seems much dimmer on TV, even when I watch an HD broadcast on Sportsnet or TSN, any game played in Edmonton looks lower quality than, say, Detroit, Chicago, San Jose, Colorado, (dare I say) Pittsburgh, and others. Maybe it's just me, but I notice little things like that becuase I watch hockey for a living.

About the game, without Oshie in the lineup, the Blues will likely be playing more chippy than usual, which is saying something. I imagine this game will be like the first Edmonton game, we will win handily but there will be a few fights instigated by hard but legal hits. Prediction: 5-2 Wings

Yea November birthdays! I turned 21 on sunday, bought my first case on monday!

My B-day was Nov 13th. I too turned 21....for the 11th year in a row

Oshie and Perron out, but St Louis is a team that gets hard work out of 4 lines, but there's not particularly a lot of skill on any line. Oshie was leading them in points a week ago, if I remember correctly, and it was something like 1 goal and 9 assists. They have scoring splattered all over the place, like no one on the team has any points, but everyone somehow has 2-3 goals

That said, I get more nervous playing teams that work hard for 60 minutes, than I do when we play high end talent teams.

Should be a fun game. I'd love to see Detroit light the lamp on Halak over and over, but I Get the feeling Halak is due for a stand on his head performance. Maybe he'll wait until the next game, we can hope

I call a 3-2 victory, Wings. D'Agostini, Boyle for Louis. Zetterberg, Kronwall, Hudler for Detroit.

P.S. On the NHL All-Star voting, did anyone try to write in Howard? "Howard, Jimmy" I got an error saying "Player does not exist" You can vote multiple times, so I was going to do one vote for an All-Wings lineup, and I did a second vote for a Non-Wings lineup. I hate the current system for All-Star balloting though. Somewhere, some dude is sitting in his room for the last 12 hours voting "Crosby, Crosby, Crosby" over and over :-p

Heh, I remember back when I use to have to adjust the antennae on my TV to watch games. Sometimes you could take wire or coat hangers to extend the length of it. If all else failed, you had to move the TV closer to a door or window :-p

I've contacted Red Wings front office. After hearing your inspiring story, they ensured me the Wings will win tonight. Then they said blah blah blah, something about "this is Domino's, not the front office....are you going to order?" I didn't pay attention to the minor details.

I think its the fact that the feed from Edmonton was in SD crap low quality, hence low quality on FSD+. The game should be in HD tonight, with the feed coming from the Joe, but I can't be 100% sure.
