Can someone please tell me why the wings wore there away jerseys at last nights home game??

if you watched the game on friday Redmond announced that the jackets requested it, probably to just show off the new jerseys again.

Personally, I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I'm in favor of the NHL switching back to using the whites for home games.

I personally like the red ones. Stains do not come out easily or at all on the white ones.

message board or not, the "dumbing" down of our society drives me nuts and something as simple as poor grammar is part of it...

I ignore punctuation or typos on message boards for that exact reason, they're message boards, but the butchering of the English language (when it is someones first language) is like nails on a chalkboard...

They are all using that classic looking style. They look nice but its kinda of getting repetitive now.

The reds are definitely way better when they play at home. I think the red is way more intimidating to opponents who already have to deal with coming to the Joe.

If it were up to me I would have them wear red every game, but it is also impossible I suppose.

that's right. i forgot about those lame ass panthers and pens jerseys. i hate every pens jersey though... i like the color schemes on some of the jerseys, but i hate the little circle with an even smaller symbol. make the blue jackets jersey the same design aside from the symbol and they're on to something. make the cannon symbol bigger and have the taglines presented on the shoulder or something. cut the lame ass circle s***. man i'm glad when the wings had their winter classic jerseys they had a big ass D on the front. NO CIRCLE!

To that end, though, you would see many more unique jerseys if the home teams wore white.

The way it stands now, every game is Red vs. White as opposed to White vs. Blue, Black, Green, etc.


I really disliked the Bluejackets jerseys in the announcement photos, but I like them on the ice. I don't mind them using blue being that its tied into their name / a long standing color.

but the dominant color is white for the away teams and white is therefore the emphasized color scheme, so you don't see as MUCH of the other teams colors...

I like the white at home model as well...
