If the Wings can put up 4 goals like they did last night, then they will win.

I would think that too if Howard was in the net, now with osgood i'm not so sure, could be another "dallas" game.

Lidstrom hasn't registered a point since the calgary game, he's been playing 19-23mins lately and should have energy left, hope he can keep up with the rest of the Dmen in the league pointwise so he can get his Norris.

It would be good for him to get more points, as it's always good for everyone, but have a look at last night's game and you'll see how he contributes to the offense even when he doesn't get on the scoresheet. Specifically, Homer's goal. Lidstrom makes the totally unspectacular but correct defensive read, intercepts Perry's cycling attempt, and makes the perfect outlet pass to Datsyuk that begins the rush and ends with a goal. He doesn't even get a point on the play, but everything is predicated on his big brain and the transition from defense to offense that he creates.

I know the Kings haven't been playing so well recently, but I'm still slightly worried. They do have that 9-2 record at home... I hope it follows that if we shut out the Ducks and they shut out the Kings, then handling the Kings should be no problem, but unfortunately, it doesn't always work that way.

I'm nervous about Ozzie like everybody else, but I'm more nervous about generating enough offense. Let's just keep the shots coming, so Ozzie isn't put on the spot too often. And of course, some smart moves in our end would be nice, too.

West coast trip, back-to-back games, a tough (yeah, I said it) opponent last night, Ozzie being back in net after a month off - none of this bodes well. However, Ozzie is a calm, battle-scarred veteran and I think the Wings come out slow and take over in the 3rd.

GO WINGS!!

Draper likely will join the fourth-line rotation with Drew Miller and Patrick Eaves, players who had been alternating as healthy scratches over the past month due to the crowded roster. Jiri Hudler might be in that rotation as well.

“I played a lot with Helmer and Eaver last year,’’ Draper said. “I thought there was some nights we brought a lot of energy, chipped in with some goals. We felt we can be a real tough team to play against.’’

Osgood, who is two wins short of 400 for his career, played back-to-back games Oct. 28-30 when Howard had a sore back.

“I’ve practiced with Jimmy (goaltending coach Bedard) for a while now,’’ Osgood said. “I feel like I’m in really good shape right now. Being out for a month shouldn’t be any factor at all.

“I felt good prior to when I got hurt. It was the best I’ve felt in a while. Hopefully, I can pick up where I left off.’’

I just looked over the Kings forum GDT and they all seem to think ozzy is going to produce and the game is going to be a blow out. I think it has more to do with our offensive power than ozzy, but its weird reading stuff and people not being afraid of ozzy or trashing him.

I'm excited to see how he does, but i'm not excited to watch this game at the bar with no audio and being the only person there paying attention to it.

Looking forward to seeing:

1. Drapes back in action....hopefully he'll be flying out there.

2. Hudler clucking at Ozzie after the WIN, proving all of the doubters around here wrong.

:siren: LGW!!!! :siren:
