montreal fans thread already has almost 500 posts :crybaby:

They're Canadian I guess. Hockey is... I want to say like a religion but it's probably even greater than a religion. Maybe a cult but it's even greater than a cult. Doesn't seem like a word exists to describe how much hockey means to them.

Weren't you here around the time of the Olympics last year? Many of them were easygoing and friendly. All of a sudden the Olympics comes and they're all, "f*** y'all *******!"

Calgary always has well over 1000 for most of their games. Granted most of them are complaints, but still.

Too be honest Salei reminds me a lot of Lilja's first year here.

In Lilja's first year he looked uncomfortable with the system and for every great play he made he matched it up with a bone-head error. The longer Lilja was here the more solid his play and the less bone-headed errors he made.

When I see Salei I see a guy a lot like Lilja. Very solid defensively at times but also prone to be in the wrong place frequently.

I thought it was actually rather disgusting how some of them were behaving. You can cheer your country on and hope they take the gold medal without acting like a steaming pile of crap to everybody.

There are many Canadians in here so I will be a little careful but actually it appears they truly cannot act any differently. Sucks really considering many come over to see the Wings, especially from Windsor. Have partied with many and they are cool as hell, except Olympics time.

It's actually what they said to me and the girlfriend. sad.gif Saw some at a brewery this summer and it's like it never happened. We plot our vengeance in 4 years sly.gif

That's nearly as bad as a friend of mine and his girlfriend getting ganged up on (literally) by Pittsburgh fans after Game 1 of the Finals in '09.

Except Salei hasn't won a fight yet.

Human diversity. It is what it is.

Yeah it mostly "Blah Blah, eh! f*** the USA! Start another war!" laugh.gif Never really came down to hockey. Especially when they got beat so badly the first game and basically should have the gold medal game too. More humorous when you listen to them.

I LOVED reading the butthurt of Canadian fans after the US beat them in the first game during the Olympics, acting like it was a crime punishable by death to beat Canada in Canada. Certainly not all Canadian fans are like that, but those bunch gave them a bad name.

Game on.
