Am I right in saying that the blues never wore that jersey in a game?

i wouldn't know. you'd hope not, right?

nevertheless, it was made and it's awful.

edit: it was in fact never used

from thirdstringgoalie:

You just knew no review of Curious, Weird and Ugly™ jerseys would not be complete without a mention of the proposed St. Louis Blues unused Alternate jerseys, which were supposed to join the initial five alternates which debuted in the 1995-96 season.

A step beyond anything seen before, these jerseys, which would have been considered loud and garish in a roller hockey league, were approved by both the NHL and the Blues, and scheduled to debut in Gretzky's first game in St. Louis... were rejected by then Blues coach Mike Keenan.

Seriously, can hockey just stop it with the stupid, gimmicky, screen-print graphic jerseys for the love of all that is holy and right? Keep it simple - bold colors, stripes, a decent, readable font, and above all a classy logo; that's all you need. That Wild Wing, the King's Burger King jersey, the Islander's Gorton Fisherman, I don't think any of those lasted more than a season due to fan outrage.

What the hell is with those pants?!

edit: Was too distracted by the ridiculousness of everything I'm seeing to realize that it's roller hockey. No explanation needed. They always wore crazy s*** in those pro leagues.
