WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 Awesome about the out-of-staters. I'm not even going to try. I went in after Zetterberg's playoffs hat trick last season and paid for them, just as a little celebratory thing, and judging by the people who work there, no way is it going to happen. I doubt they know what a hat trick is; heck, they might not even know what hockey is. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if they're really alive or just zombies who punch buttons... I posted something on facebook about the fries and my sister who lives in San Diego said the exact same thing. I think you both need to try and see if you get anything besides dumbfounded looks from the employee.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 I think this one might be my favorite Wings hat trick in the post lockout era. All nice moves/plays involving Zetterberg. And look at him flash that smile at the very end. You could tell he had a lot of fun that night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JmP0ErgrV0 1 wingnut40 reacted to this

You could tell he had a lot of fun that night. Kind of like Mule's last night after the 5th he skated up to Hank with this almost embarrassed look on his face and you can tell he said, "Thanks Hank" lol. Good stuff. Love these 2 on the same line. ACallToArms 270 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 Got my curly fries today, not that its a huge deal being in the Detroit area. It is the first time I've actually redeemed the curly fry offer though, I don't usually go for fast food. They were delicious The lady at the counter was having a good time with it too. Pretty much everyone in line had their box scores in hand, and she was talking Red Wings with the customers while people were waiting for their food.

He looks so slow now a days compared to that highlight of him. EDIT: on a side note Mmmm Asha Edited February 3, 2011 by dragonballgtz

HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 The Mule got his curly fries, looks like they were passed around in the locker http://video.redwing...=95961&catid=-6 Mule isn't an Arby's fan or doesn't really jive well with the hockey player diet. Takes 1 bite and puts it back down. Next up, Hank for the hatty. I have one ready to toss on the ice for my favorite athlete. Good time for one tonight

I am not the photoshop guy on here but can someone please make this happen with an IKEA and Wings logo and one of the Swedes. I am just a simple minded guy lol. sleepwalker 512 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 5 goals should be worth fries and a turnover. I went into one of the arbys and the girl at the counter had no clue what I was talking about. I explained the promotion and what a hat trick was to her, and mentioned that Franzen scored 5 goals in the game. Her response; "5 goals?! That should be worth at least a large fry then, eh?" I laughed and agreed. The manager didn't though and he gave me the standard small fry, lol.

That place is insane on a normal day, if they gave away free meals it would be even worse. Not saying it's a bad idea, I'd be there for sure.

MissyLKS8 6 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 I promise next Wings hat trick I'll try and get free curly fries in Ontario... Edit: I'll try for out of country! Oh yeah? Well, I'll up you one. I'll try out of the continent! Sigh... if only Germany had Arby's. I don't even eat fast food-- I just want to take advantage of these joyful situations. Promotions change routinely in fast food, so honestly, you could probably walk in and say "Hi, I'm here for my free drink, for the Wednesday promotion", and you'd probably walk away receiving both a free drink and a confused look. You'd be halfway home before they figured it out. And quite frankly, you'll be dead before they actually care. To the best of my knowledge, Arby's never stated that it was a Michigan only promotion. I thought about this. "Free tax-day fries? Colder than zero degrees Coke? Hot burger for hale bop anniversary?" After Hat Tricks, they sort of do. Other than that.... Exactly. HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 Kind of like drinking. Drinking works with all situations of hockey games just think about it..... In losses they help ease the pain. In wins they make it easier to celebrate. In hat tricks they make you throw your favorite hat on the ice (maybe other garments that are regrettable) In life they make girls more pretty (woops) Yikes this weekend is going to be a trainwreck..... 1 ACallToArms reacted to this
