He cannot hold onto the puck, is entirely useless defensively, and who's only offensive production comes from extremely fortunate linemates and flukey bounces and deflections. All three of his goals came when he was playing on the top line with Toews and Hossa. If you honestly think Kopecky is a capable 2nd line power forward, well.... I laugh at you. Guest Crymson Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Kopecky may not be the most prolific goal scorer on the team, but he would be third on the Wings in assists. His stats are rather similar actually to board favorite Todd Bertuzzi. LGW tends to consider Bertuzzi a power forward...what's so different about Kopecky? His defense? His nationality? His willingness to try and kill someone for crashing into his teammate and injuring him in a race for the puck? None of that makes someone a power forward. The giant difference is that Bertuzzi generates chances and properly uses his size. Kopecky got a bunch of lucky assists and has no ability to use his size. He's also a terrible skater. Further, he just can't operate in the zone like Bert can. I do find it sad that you make petty attempts to discredit Bert in your all-consuming quest to prove that you were "right" about Kopecky. It's transparent, Eva. I'll never forget Kopecky's last shift here. It's very telling that his injuries in '08 and '09 HELPED the team in the playoffs. What a powerforward that pecker has become!!!!11 I'll take Patrick Eaves for a million dollars less who has put up 5 goals and is a +2 in less games played.
