Lack of effort, bad passes, not shooting, and penalties that weren't called are to blame.

Boys better get their s*** together soon, the lead is slipping away.

You said it, those four reasons are basically how the Wings lost that game, in that order.

I think bad passes and not shooting were the worst two

that game was almost as frustrating as the game vs. the kings

you guys have to remember... we (at least im sure most of us) realized that december was going to be a ***** and thats why we were glad to have that cushion that we did. Well, they are in the middle of december and that cushion has proved valuable. We knew they couldnt maintain what they had early w/ the light schedule.

So, we knew it was coming. its here. Battle through it and try to come out of december 1st in the west and go from there.

This. Wings are playing about as good as we all predicted. In fact, they are playing above what most of us predicted. They'll go on a mad run after January. By playoffs, this team will be unstoppable, baring no injuries.

Right now this is Detroit's pre-season. The real season doesn't start til playoffs.

I think it's time for Hudler to be scratched for a good five straight games. The guy is beyond worthless when he isn't producing; he's bad defensively, and he ruins chances. He has shown absolutely no signs of changing, despite his thus-far horrid play. He won't drive the net, he won't go to the hard areas, he won't work hard on the puck, he won't go after the puck, and he seems to have little interest in overcoming his lack of confidence. Forget him, I say. One goal in 27 games would get most $2.75m/yr players put on the waiver wire. In Jiri's case, we can just dump him onto the bench and let Draper play. Draper may not be a scoring threat, but at least he's reliable.

The month of December hasn't been very kind to the Wings.

blame the schedule!

hudler isnt the reason the team is dropping games. talk to the 2nd line who hasnt scored a goal together since the 4th

They're both problems. Unlike BFF, though, Hudler isn't trying.

Really because it does not look like Franzen is trying at all. Even when he plays the PP with Pavs when he gets the puck he always makes a dumb play which results in a clear for the PK of the other team. IMO Franzen should be a healthy scratch if he keeps this play up. Hudler, on the other hand, has been looking better lately and we need for him to get going because, despite what some of you think, he will be very big part of our playoff success, just as he was in 2008 and 09. Also, I am tired of Fil trying to be Pavs out there,... he is NOT PAVS!!! he needs to keep his play simple
