What is supposed to qualify for interference? I'm not even being sarcastic... trying to explain some of the rules to my son and that one stumps me after some non-calls.

Interference is intentionally impeding another player with your body (not grabbing; that's holding) when that player does not have the puck and is not in possession of the puck. Possession in the case of most penalties includes about to receive a pass, near a loose puck, or having just passed or shot the puck.

TY... that's what I thought, will just have to explain to the little guy that officials miss things :)

Overall I think Rafalski is a good defensman, but he's a perfect example of why you can't just use stats when it comes to players.

So many times now he'll have game changing defensive mistakes, but also end up with a couple assists too so on paper it looks like he had a good game.

I'd say Rafs screw up is worse :)

2 goal lead with less then 5 would pretty much seal it and that situation would not have occurred but yes i would say equally as fail
