Guest mindfly Report post Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) Apparently Jarnkrok declined the opportunity to be the second shooter for sweden since he missed last time he told his coach... it appears the swedes don't relish the opportunity to become heroes and do something great, they rather want someone else to do it whereas the canadians rise to the occassion and loves it... difference in culture, no doubt. There is something with the current generation of Swedes. I highly doubt Forsberg or Sundin would have declined.

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted January 5, 2011 Nestrasil had a pitiful WJC after Red Wing management said this tourney may very well seal his fate as a Red Wing. 6GP 1G 2A 3P -5 2PIM 8SOG Pulkkinen had an awesome tourney. Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 How did he do in comparison to his team overall? I have a hard time seeing them not sign him. He had a team worst +/-. He is a good passer, but really didn't stand out. He got two of those points in the final game, before that he was invisible. FINAL WJC STATS Pulkkinen: 6GP 3G 6A 9P +2 6PIM 26SOG Jarnkrok : 6GP 2G 3A 5P 0 2PIM 20SOG Nestrasil: 6GP 1G 2A 3P -5 2PIM 8SOG Callahan : 6GP 1G 0A 1P -1 2PIM 13SOG
titanium2 867 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Sucks for Nestrasil. Maybe he forgot to take his Vagisil. (Dumb, I know.) But speaking of Calle Jarnkrok, you think he'll have the same goal song as Datsyuk (Calle Ocho)?
