If it meant mindfly departing forever, I'd be content to the see the team absolutely throw a agme.

Patrick Roy's last game as a Canadien style? That might do it.

Likewise.

So you'd like to see the Wings throw a game? Because that's the only way your response makes any sense in relation to the post you quoted.

I think he's under the bizarre impression that a horrid game by the Wings would drive me to stop supporting them. I don't think he knows me very well.

Why would rafalski get injured just now? he already missed what 10 games early in the season with the knee injury now it's his yearly back problems screwing up again

I'm sure Rafalski sat in his hotel room and decided to be injured.

So what do we have to do to wake up Flip and get him to stop turning the puck over, shooting into people's ankles and missing the net altogether...?

Not much. The quicker you accept that Filppula is a third line center offensively, the better you feel about all the "potential hype" we hear year after year.

I don't know if Fil or Bertuzzi was worse last night. They need to be split up.

Scene -- Brian Rafalski's hotel room, two hours before puck drop

Brian: What to do, what to do.....I'm kind of bored, and I watched all the porn available here at the hotel. I know, I'll log on to LetsGoWings and see what the fans are saying!

*Brian logs on LGW, looks around board, logs off*

Brian: Boy, that mindfly sure doesn't like me. I wonder how I can get back at him. I know, I'll injure myself purposefully before the game, so that he'll have something kvetch about! He'll be so confused between liking me for getting injured and hating me for getting injured, his head will explode! I love it! Now.....how to do it so it doesn't look like I did it on purpose. Hmmmm.....

*looks around room, sees big table in corner*

Brian: I know! I try and lift that table and hurt my back! I'll just tell Babs I thought I saw a rat and wanted to squish it with the table leg. That's manly sounding, I think.

*lifts table, throws out back*

Brian: Success!! Ouch. This one is for you, mindfly! Damn it.....

End scene.

Filppula is tied for 108th in forward scoring. That places him as a second line forward based on his point totals. Granted, centers tend to get more points than wingers. Let's guess for the sake of argument maybe 60% of the forwards ahead of Flip are wingers and 40% are centers, as opposed to 67% and 33%. That would place 43 centers ahead of Flip, leaving him as average offensively for a second line center. For him to be a third line center, 56% would have to be centers. He certainly doesn't seem to be exploding into the star some of the big Flip fans on here declared he would, but he's definitely a solid center and may work his offense up to the first line level in the next couple of seasons.

It's like I said the other day...Franzen/Flip/Hudler would be a much better combo because all three of Bert/Flip/Hudler are better passers than shooters, and look to pass first. Franzen provides an overeager shooter without losing the size or net presence. Bertuzzi takes Franzen's spot alongside Z.

And this isn't taking into account how dead his line was when Franzen and Bert weren't doing s***.

Yeah eva, Flip love!

I still don't understand how I've gotten a reputation as a Flip hater. I have always liked Flip. I have argued that Hudler was the better player, but not for dislike of Filppula.

I wish I knew whatever cultural reference that is.

Seriously?
