Guest Howard He Do It?!

So the Caps are going to be the losing team in the Finals this year.

lol...like that really makes a difference. It should be played as any NHL game. Shouldn't matter if it's outside...deal with the elements don't make exceptions.

They did it in '09 with the Wings/Hawks game too. It's not like it's unprecedented.

It's supposed to make it more fair. Whether it does or not is debatable.

I thought they didn't have to switch because of how good the weather was?

<sigh> That's why I've been rooting for the Sidguins. I'd hate for the Caps to get that close and lose. This year looks good for the Wings, so I really would rather break Sid's heart than Ovi's in the finals.

I think it was last year with the Flyers/Bruins that they didn't need to switch. I'm positive that they did switch in '09.

No, if I remember right they did switch during a period because of the wind.

The switch only applies for the third so it would have occurred then.

I think that it was during the Det/Hawks game that we did switch, but last year they decided not to since both teams chose not to.

I could be wrong, but that's what I am remembering.

Oh, poor Ovi. No goal.

Right. First whistle after the 10 minute mark of the third is when they switched.

Just eliminate incidental contact and make it goaltender interference.
