VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 No Tatar makes me sad. I'd almost rather him stay up than Mursak, even though Mursak has been fine while he's been up. 1 Vladifan reacted to this

TheUkrainian 49 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 sub .500 team...I think Ozzie should get the start. Hopefully it ends up being a confidence booster for Jimmy though.
MulesWillFly93 199 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 No Tatar makes me sad. I'd almost rather him stay up than Mursak, even though Mursak has been fine while he's been up. Yeah, I wish/hope Tatar would stay, too. Like you said, nothing wrong with Mursak, but Tatar has been the man. Glad Eaves is (supposedly) coming back, though. I like newfy's thinking - Abs for the Gordie Howe! (I guess that would be FTGH, eh?) Howard gets a you-know-what! The crowd goes wild! Getting serious here, I'm glad Howard's playing this one. I like the idea of having a confidence booster for him...hopefully he doesn't muck this one up and feel even worse. Even if he wins, though, I think we should give Ozzie the start versus Calgary, though. I want to see where he's ACTUALLY at - were the last couple of games a fluke, or is he really improving? We know where Howard's at, and we need to get him going, but I think Ozzie needs feeling out a little more. Not up, out. Nya nya nya.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 canucks just took the lead They are far and away the hottest and best team in hockey right now. But hopefully the Wings are just one road trip away from reversing those fortunes... 1 Vladifan reacted to this
Guest mindfly Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Khabibulin has the same SV% as jimmy howard but a 3.31GAA, what can you tell by this stats? that edmonton is a much worse team but khabibulin is the better goalie. No one can deny it.

No one can deny it. I saw that stat and it doesn't make me happy, however, I think Jimmy will pull it together and tonight should be a good opportunity for him. *Khabibulin's drunk driving stats are worse than Jimmy's, point for Jimmy. 55fan 5,133 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 *Khabibulin's drunk driving stats are worse than Jimmy's, point for Jimmy. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter on the ice. Unless they're driving the Zambonis, of course. Wings win. Ten zillion to three. Or something.
syntax 359 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Thanks for the GDT, Hockeytown. I hope we win. We are bad enough right now to lose to this team, though. I'm glad we get some help with Eberle being out.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) thanks for the great GDT, as always a quality job, HT! Woohoo for late games and west coast trips - Western Canada in particular. I am probably alone in my love for this, but I get to see the entire game. I usually always miss the first period or half the game, when the Wings are home. Damned time zones. I expect Jimmy to bounce back big. No, not rebounds -- performance. Stop that, now. The Wings will show up with passion, a much better defensive effort, and stellar offense tonight. Look out! Wings don't really enjoy losing, it just looks that way sometimes. Kronner, Mule, Z and Bert with goals, and perhaps some Drip with one... but, maybe not! Let's go, Red Wings!!! Edit: is it just me, or has Homer been vewwy, vewwy quiet lately? Edited January 4, 2011 by puckloo39

Guest mindfly Report post Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) I also wonder how much injured Zetterberg and rafalski is, given the injury situation they probably feel they can't miss games, i guess having they playing injured is better than having a ahl player play for detroit but it's not a good situation they are in atm, how many places in the standings will they have lost when it's all said and done? I think Zetterberg is hurt, for sure. At any rate, I still have lots of faith in the Wings. They do this rough stretch every season and they'll bounce back, hopefully starting tonight.
