Well, again, the only realistic option would have been Abdelkader. I guess he could have done it but I'd rather have had him out there on the ice trying to keep the Wings sagging energy going, to be honest. Ericsson shouldn't have fought him, then the WIngs would be down to four defensemen.

At any rate, I'm optimistic about the Vancouver game. Ozzie in net and the Wings realizing they actually have to show up this time.

I figured it'd be a while. Better now than in the stretch run so he has time to fully recover though it shouldn't happen in the first place. I have no expectation of the league doing the right thing with a suspension especially with the Eager match penalty tonight distracting from it in the highlights. Button did call it a questionable hit on NHL on the Fly but it wasn't shown until the very end of the segment.

I would have to disagree with you re:the Kings broadcasters.

Not only are they mind-numbingly idiotic, they are incredibly homeristic. Pretty much all the California teams have HORRIBLE play calling tandems.

The very worst are the Anaheim Ducks' announcers. The color guy actually whines. Head East, oh hockey fans and it's the Penguins' announcers. They are blatantly biased. Yeah, they talk about the other teams quite a bit but their guys can do NO wrong. And one gets the feeling that only 10 percent of the legit calls are made on their opponents. :nonono:
