What do you mean by anything?

Those two have made up, they get along. Lemieux said he respects McCarty for what he did, and understands it. He said no hard feelings. He said he didn't necessarily Turtle cause he's a *****, but one of McCarty's first punches landed and knocked him dizzy. They've made up, they've moved on. If you still have a problem with it, than I guess it's just that. Your problem.

Would it really be a smart move for Lemieux to make a public appearance in the Detroit area? McCarty may have gotten over it, but I would think a vast majority of Red Wings fans haven't.

It's only smart because he's with Darren McCarty. Otherwise, I don't see him not getting blindsided in an alley and boarded into a trash bin. Maybe Draper'd give someone a dollar to do it.

This ruins some sort of perfect mythology I have maintained in my head for the past decade and a half (or so) that Lemieux was evil, D-Mac was good, and the two of them were forever locked in opposition to one another, as good and evil always are in mythologies. I guess, reasonably, it makes perfect sense for them to do this, it's maybe even kinda a neat idea. But...I can't help thinking "but..but...Darren...you...you hate him! he hurt your friend! he's bad! don't go anywhere near him unless it's because you're kicking his ass." It seems so ridiculous to even type it, but for the rivalry to have meant anything, I (and everyone else) had to believe it, at least a little.

Haha, I guess we all have to grow up sometime.

This is such an interesting statement. After watching Darren and Claude shake hands on OTR a while ago, and thinking about it again today, I was wondering if I should just "let it go". Lemieux crushed Draper's face and instead of apologizing added fuel to the fire the next year saying he made Draper's career, made him another $100,000, and commented on his low goal scoring stats. From what I've read Draper and Lemieux still haven't made amends. Rumor has it Lemieux has tried to call Draper, but Draper hasn't called back (and after the stuff Lemieux said the next season, I don't blame Kris. I don't have time for Lemieux either). Plus Lemieux was one of the biggest cowards in NHL history always picking on guys smaller than him.

To each their own, but personally I feel Lemieux's actions, especially what he said about Draper the next season, is unforgivable... For me anyway.

Edit: From what I've read too, I don't think Claude have ever thought he did anything wrong.

Regardless of whether or not Mac decides to sit down at a table and make some money with him, Claude is and always will be a piece of s*** coward scumbag. I agree.
