Kira 451 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Bill Maher said it best. He couldn't lead a colony of ants to a melted Hershey bar. He's still persona non grata in my book for that stupid call on Pasha's Winter Classic goal. "Wind at his back", my ass. If Ottawa hires him for their GM, Sens fans may as well bend over and pass the Vaseline.
Guest L3T5G0W1NG5 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Pierre knows his hockey. I think he could make a good GM (srs). 1 T-Ruff reacted to this
Barrie 900 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Whatever gets him off TV. I think that as a color commentary guy and interviewer, he's obnoxious, incompetent and unpleasant to view and listen to. Right. I think he's better suited to do color for the WWE the way he yells and picks favorites.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Why does everyone think he knows hockey so well? He says the same things every broadcast and usually doesn't even talk about hockey during them. I'm assuming we're going off something else when people say he's hockey smart? Writings or something?
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 No idea here. Seems like he just randomly pulls stuff off Wikipedia when he isn't talking about how wonderful Crosby is.
T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Pierre could write the Wikipedia page for almost any NHL player past or present and CHL players too, that's why he awesome... Add his encyclopedic knowledge to his entertaining persona and his undeniable passion for the game and I'm left baffled at the haters. I suppose they just don't understand him, once you get past the initial stereotypes and actually pay attention, you learn to appreciate him for what he is: one of the best in the business.
