Call me when all this excitement blows over ... my pessimistic and realistic side bets that if he signs with Wings, he won't clear waivers.

Are more teams afraid of Nabby than we realize? Any one of them could have negotiated with Nabby.

This is out of left field. With how our goalies have played this year, definately not opposed. Doubt he clears waivers though.. I hope this doesnt mean Ozzies done. But at the very least he got 400 this year.

Wow, this would be amazing if it went down, I just don't see him clearing waivers... maybe his agent plays some hardball that he will retire if anyone else claims him, haha

What does this mean for Osgood? I think it may give some validity to the reports swirling around that he's done for the season.

Could be that he doesn't want to go just anywhere. Which would be tough s*** for him in the very likely scenario that he gets claimed by some other team.

I feel like theres some plan in place, why would Holland waste his time if he was just going to get picked up?

Right now, as long as the numbers are right, they could, in theory, LTIR Osgood for the rest of the year and he could slide in there without making another move...

The fatigue/starting too much issue was already mentioned in my initial response. We're not disagreeing here.

Everybody seems to think that he won't clear waivers, but I don't see why he wouldn't... Every other team could have negotiated with him and didn't. That, and the fact that Holland is no dummy, leads me to believe that he will clear and be a wing.

Yeah, per Bob McKenzie - the waiver rule applies to anyone coming over from Europe. Otherwise teams could hide players in Europe until the start of the season.
