Cool NHL player names

My favorite three of all time:

-Mikhail Shtalenkov (Because its fun to say)

-Darius Kasparaitis (Because it sounds like a disease)

-Guy Herbert (Because it looks so American, yet is pronounced 'Gee Abear')

It's actually pronounced just like it appears in American english: "Guy Hebert." He's American, and from NY ;)

The whole French pronunciation began as a joke by one of the commentators during his time playing in college.

Robin BigSnake caused a lot of laughter at a Muskegon game we went to a few years ago...both for his name and his play. I don't think he ever played in the NHL though he went to one of the Wings' training camps.

Last week when Joey Mac and Thomas McCollum were both up with the Wings, the Griffins signed Dov Grumet-Morris to be backup goalie.

I've always liked the Finnish names, especially first names; Jarkko, Teemu, Mikko, Jussi...they sound like Disney animals. Soft and fluffy, but also heroic and funny. Plus, I've always thought U was an underused vowel, and the Fins really seem to appreciate it.
