Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 At least this time it wasn't due to a dangerous headshot from the league's #1 punk.
Selliria 76 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 I hate reading things like this. I wish a speedy recovery for Savard, even though that's unlikely.
ChelisChick 174 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 On Vs. Brian Jones was saying he thought Savvy should retire. Engblom agreed. And while I know it would be the best for him health-wise, it just KILLS me. Makes me want to castrate Matt Cooke with a pair of rusty nail clippers. Dipped in paint thinner. With flaming match-heads attached. 4 commadore183, 13dangledangle, stevkrause and 1 other reacted to this
InHankWeTrust 6 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 Too bad for him. Another talented player who can't stay healthy. Probably time for the Bruins to cut ties with him after the season.

ChelisChick 174 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 They probably will. I don't think he'll ever be 100% again. And it's such a shame.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 dreger and mackenzie are gonna start spewing out anti-hitting bulls*** now Which is still somewhat easier to read than Milbury's type-spewage he puts out. Shame about Savvy, though. Really liked his game and a bit of a Bruin fan. f***in' Matt Cooke, his douchery knows no limits.
ChelisChick 174 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 Believe it or not, Milbury's being really tame for a change. I'm watching the NESN pre-game coverage, and everyone within the organization isn't calling for Hunwick's head. They all called it a clean hit and an unfortunate turn of events. It's being reported as a "moderate" concussion, but with this being the 4th concussion of Savard's career, there's no such thing as moderate.

HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 not really, did you see mackenzie's article on colin campbell? it was a joke I haven't and if it is the one I think you are talking about, it is a bit overdone but I will still say Milbury's writing with a crayon stories are mind-numbing. 1 Drake_Marcus reacted to this

Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 How does Matt Cooke live with himself? He essentially ruined Marc Savard's career. So damn sad. I really want Boston to catch him off guard one of these games. 3 Selliria, Drake_Marcus and Hockeymom1960 reacted to this

ChelisChick 174 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 He got hit by former teammate Matt Hunwick during the Colorado game over the weekend. It wasn't a dirty hit, but Matt crunched Marc into the boards and voila. Moderate concussion.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) That's really too bad. Cooke's cheapshot was basically a career ending injury, it's just that with brain injuries you can't always tell at that moment. With flaming match-heads attached. Pretty much summed it up - Cooke is a waste of human flesh, whereas Savard was one hell of a player and to have the latter's career ended by the former is disgusting... there are few players I despise in the league more than Cooke...
