But we will forgive him as soon as he starts scoring this post-season...

Flip happies try that excuse with Filppula all the time and it never flies :P

Mursak is a lock for next years roster, and I think Emmerton could win out a spot either in training camp or preseason.

the real story here is that Mursak is Rob Cordry.

Well maybe not but for a second it seemed right.

Clearly Jan looks like...

Isaac Slade, lead singer of the Fray.

Jan was so impressive during his stint, so much speed and intensity, showed a lot of strength along the boards. He was obviously asked to keep it simple, get the puck in deep and keep the puck in the offensive zone, and he did very well.

Yes, but Franzén actually does score in the playoffs...

Didn't see Emmerton's game, but Mursak looked good.

"I don't know when anyone's coming back. I'm hoping they're all playing in Ottawa. That's probably not the case,'' coach Mike Babcock said after practice Monday at Joe Louis Arena. "We'll wait until (Tuesday) because I know how these things are. So we'll see after the skate so see where they're at.''

Here are the lines they skated with:

Cleary-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi

Franzen-Zetterberg-Eaves

Hudler-Filppula-Abdelkader

Draper-Helm-Miller

That's a beautiful sight. I'd love to see that Flip/Hudler/Abby line catch fire.

Stuart still is at least 2-3 weeks from returning, after suffering a broken jaw on Jan. 7, but he was encouraged to be on the ice for the first time.

He said of Kostopolous' punishment: “I was sure they'd do something and they did. There's no reason for me to debate whether I think it's long enough or not. It happened, he served his suspension. It's over and I just move forward.''
