I was cracking up when Kessel just kept climbing the steps while the gaylord with the microphone kept calling him down.

I hope they do the all-star draft like this every year.

It was even funnier watching Phil Kessel jiggle down the stairs. How much does he get paid to at the very least stay in shape?

so...

Last Forward Picked: Kessel
Last Defenmen Picked: Karlson
Last Goalie Picked: Hiller

I would have loved to see Chara and Lids play together before he retires, oh well.

Every individual started with a personal friend/teammate.

Staal -- Ward
St. Louis -- Stamkos
Green -- Ovechkin
Kane -- Keith
Kesler -- D. Sedin
Lidstrom -- H. Sedin...

If Zetterberg were to participate, do you think Lidstrom were to pick Z over Henrik Sedin?

I bet Lids picks Z as his first pick.

Damn right he would have. And would have been better for it. Staal feeling like he had to take Ward pretty much screwed that team over a tad.

The "MY BOY" thing was priceless though with every pick.

Am I getting old and cranky, or does the all star game get less appealing every year?

Anyone but Perry.

I was really hoping he'd go last. Bah, humbug. <_<

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

The game itself won't be very appealing.

The draft was pretty cool though. The skills competition will be pretty cool too.

Can you get one of him jiggling down the stairs and add some nice insults in it somehow? Haha.

Not at all. The game won't be worth s*** but its pretty much the only thing on Sunday. The draft was a great idea, though. Hope they keep it.

Yea I guess so. I just like watching the Wings play as a team, not a bunch of the best players try to be a team for a day. I hear you on the skills competition though. That has always been pretty cool.

I don't really blame Kane for not wanting to play with Toews. Kane's probably struggling to get over all those times of getting yelled at for being a lazy ass defensive player.

Kinda feel bad for Kessel. He was really awkward out there.

But at the same time... LOL KESSEL GOT PICKED LAST!!! : DDD

edit: That system is horrible however. They should pick the last four randomly.

Team Lidstrom

Richards-Stamkos-St. Louis
Kopitar-Sedin-Eriksson
Havlat-Toews-Kane
Briere-Duchene-Kessel

Lidstrom-Weber
Keith-Byfuglien
Yandle-Burns

Thomas
Hiller
Fleury

Team Staal

Ovechkin-Staal-Skinner
Sedin-Kesler-Nash
Elias-Stastny-Sharp
Giroux-Backes-Perry

Chara-Green
Staal-Letang
Karlsson-Boyle

Ward
Lundqvist
Price

Yeah I'm definitely biased here but Team Lidstrom looks so much better on paper. The game is theirs to lose. If they lose it, it's simply because the insane amount of skill didn't work hard enough, which at an all-star game is very possible.

Sedin-Kesler-Nash-- That line isf****** sexy, though. Would be shocked if Skinner was put on the first line. But maybe to be with his "BOY" Staal.
