I couldn't agree more. I love our boys but to be honest I'm getting bored with them :(.

They look bored, too. I don't think they are, don't get me wrong. But you can't let opportunities like the last two games (or any game) go to waste like this.

The Wings made Columbus and Nashville look like Cup winners. They didn't have to be very good to beat the Wings, let's face it. Jokes about Vezina winning efforts in opponents' nets aside - neither goalie had to ratchet out of daily practice mode to stop all the Wings' 69 shots on goal the last two games.

The Rangers should be afraid of facing a pissed-off Wings team. I bet they're not. They're going to come out and try to rip this team's heads off, and they probably will succeed if no one shows up to play again. Avery will have every right to make fun of his former team.

To whom much is given, much is expected. No one is going to give you anything in this life, Wings. You have to work for it. I miss seeing a work ethic out there. Stop expecting 'the other guy' to do all the work. ALL of the Wings need to show up, each of them assuming they are going to be the key factor in winning this game, and every game.

They should never step on the ice expecting to lose. It should honestly surprise them when they don't win. Take whatever happened and then attack it... go out there and fix it. Never let it happen again.

I dearly miss that work ethic on the ice and in the locker room. We had it once. We don't right now.

Two teams that have an elite goaltender. Think about it. The team is slumping, obviously, and they faced two great goaltenders.

Lol... one of the top teams in the top conference. Ok.

Really? Riding the top 3 spot in the conference all season is somehow just as frustrating being on the bubble all season? This just keeps getting better.

Teams in the NHL lose. Sometimes <gasp>, they lose two in a row. You sound like a Chicago fan.

yeah I've been a chicago fan since's Fedorov's rookie season amigo.

Team lose all the time yes all the time. You can't win every game. You seem to have overlooked who we played against in the first 1/4 of the season. You sound like a Pittsburgh fan....

Also I think it takes balls coming onto this forum and looking at this season and saying our team is slightly overrated. I read a lot nhl forums and the genuine consenus it that we are overrated this season considering that expectations were very high. Yes injures have happened and it hurts. I'm finding that our team is a bit overrated. Vancouver and Philly are deeper teams IMO. Considering we were picked by a lot of people to win the cup this year. It could happen. It's all an opinion of course. And lets look out for San Jose which is getting hot again after they're sluggish start. Bottom line is 1-8 going into the playoffs imo will be a dogfight more so than any previous years....

I've been a fan for just as long as you and you sound like a girl that just spilled punch on her prom dress.

How can a team with 20 consecutive playoff appearances be overrated ? Detroit will be a contender for the cup every year, regardless if your opinion is that Vancouver and Philly are deeper.

Ya... that's called 'distribution of talent due to the salary cap'. I would think that a long time fan would recognize this.

Oh yeah and Mason and Rinne are not elite goaltenders. So then how do you rank Howard then, Godly? Cause he ain't even close but that has a lot to do with team defense. Whoever stated that is spot on.

I rank Howard below both of them currently.

Yup. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Where were we when we had all our players and were healthy ? miles ahead of everyone else in the standings, just so happens we lost our players when the hard part of the schedule was coming up. No doubt in my mind every year I know as myself, a Wing fan that Detroit is going to win the cup. The context of your post is 'you think' which im sure another 30+ Wings fans disagree with.

Ok. At least you didn't say I'm wearing a prom dress or some s***. I love getting other die-hard Wings fans stirred up.

Have you ever ran a hockey team?

Currently coaching a JV Highschool team in Minnesota. Does that count? Big deal right. Done with you bro. Take care!

It is a big deal. I'm very proud of the teams I've run and coached in the past.

And I never said you were wearing a prom dress. Reading comp. is tech on message boards. You act like the Wings being favored to win the Cup is some new development. Lol.

I'm sorry, but the people saying that they are bored watching the Wings and are watching other teams just sound like spoiled, entitled brats. Jmo.

This entitled brat is just speaking her mind. Sorry you don't like it . Maybe you should start watching other games besides just the Wings. I am first, and foremost, a hockey fan and second a Wings fan.

Had no idea you were so well versed in my hockey watching habits. I don't care enough to like it or not like it. Just saying it sounds like whining.

"I'm gonna watch another team cuz THIS team is boring!" Hahaha...

I'd say Rinne is an elite goalie. At least so far this year.

I'd take Rinne over Howard every day of the week.

.931 save percentage, 2.04 GAA and 4 shutouts. Not to mention, Rinne doesn't get the luxury of having an offense that scores 4-5 goals most nights to bail out subpar goaltending.

Rinne is definitely elite this season. Howard has shown no signs of performing anywhere near Rinne's level since last March.

Would you have taken Rinne over Howard last March? No I didn't think so. Last year Rinne had a .911 save pecentage and Howard had a .924.

Rinne is hot right now, Howard isn't.

People on this forum have very short memories

Add to the fact that at the beginning of the year we had a pretty nice easy going schedule. Also our defensive spiral started before much of our group got injured.
