Valtteri Filppula Leg Injury

I thought he kept his knee out when he didn't need it that wide. Most players, when they are going to hit someone into the boards, turn their body to hit them with their shoulder. Dubinsky went straight on and as Filppula zagged Dubbies knee followed his vody. I think it could have been avoided, but maybe I'm nitpicking.

Did this look serious? I was at the game and completely missed it (upper bowl row 19 lol). Was it knee-to-knee or knee-to-thigh like the article said?

Thigh.

It didn't look too serious.

Hope it's just a charley horse. He's been doing well, IMO, this year. He's not afraid to go after the puck and all of that. Plus we need him to tell us if he sees his shadow.

If he does end up in Africa, do we have to put him on waivers when he comes back from his injury, or is it considered a loan since he started the season with us?

No word yet huh?

Starting to get worried that it's a really serious injury.

I might be wrong, but I think it may be the opposite - It's nothing serious, so they didn't rush tests and we'll hear the results when they all come back negative...

It depends on what the fine print on the NHL's agreement with the Namibia Ice and InLine Hockey Association on player movement says. (Yes, that organization really exists)

If you recall, almost all serious injuries are announced immediately.

You seem to have gotten more pessimistic and cynical lately. :scared:

Really? Maybe it depends on the topic. Plus I don't think you can be a regular poster on LGW and NOT be pessimistic every now and again.

Is it wrong of me to admit that's my ringtone?

 +1. It's a decent song for a ringtone. Better than any pop song that's out these days.

You're probably being sarcastic but in all seriousness we usually hear something by now.
