Got it right last time, so I'll try this again.
5 - 2 WINGS!!
Z nets 2 goals to break out of his slump and to get revenge for that embarrassing loss last week in Nashville!
This. I want to see Hank start the goal scoring again.
Datsyuk did not enjoy time off
He's one of the game's elite players, but Pavel Datsyuk isn't much of a fan. Datsyuk loves hockey, but he can't watch a game involving the Red Wings if he's not playing.
"Can't do it; it's just not easy," said Datsyuk, who doesn't have to now, after returning to the lineup Monday, his fractured right hand fully healed. He had a goal and an assist in the Wings' victory over the Rangers.
Datsyuk broke his hand Dec. 22 against Vancouver and missed 19 games.
Datsyuk has missed playing time before due to injuries. But that didn't make this absence from the lineup any easier.
"It's worse in the playoffs," Datsyuk said about missing games, and being forced to watch. "Much worse."
He continued: "When I play, I'm not nervous. When I don't play, I get nervous."
It's not like Datsyuk lost track of teammates. He was around the locker room rehabilitating, working out in any way he could, and never lost touch with the team. But when a player isn't competing on the ice, not wearing the sweater, it's frustrating.
"I missed it," Datsyuk said. "I don't know if they missed me."
Judging from last weekend's consecutive shutout losses to Columbus and Nasvhille, they missed him a lot.
"We haven't played very well the last few games," Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "It'll be nice to get some energy in our lineup."
