Well, his numbers have been up. For example I've seen a significant increase in giveaways in the defensive zone leading directly to a scoring chance or goals.

Datsyuk still checks harder than Ericsson.

Although I did see Big E drop the gloves in defense of his teammates a couple times this season, so he gets points there.

I guess the big thing for me is I want to see less giveaways and better shooting. He's been doing that today, but I'd like to see it every night. When you're on defense there's a much lower tolerance for mistakes.

I'd like him to be more physical too, but otherwise I think he's looked great out there, especially considering he's paired mostly with Rafalski, who isn't exactly a stay at home defenseman who will cover any mistakes.

i saw kindl win some nice battles that period. hell be okay. he was pretty good when he first got called up. now hes just being dumb. too bad he cant be sent down once wings are healthy to have some more playing time

It is too bad for his development. Sitting in the press box is not going to help his progress.

Overall I think he's been ok for a rookie.

Play "Drink a shot everytime Ericcson or Kindl turn over the puck."

Then see if you are blind or brain-damaged by the end of the second period...

Add Salei and Rafalski and you would be dead before the end of the first

What does everyone think of the organ music at The Joe? I don't know if I like it. I'll see what I think at my next trip on March 21st vs. Cindy's Pens.

It was introduced last season at select games, like Original 6 matchups. Same as this season, it isn't an every game thing.

Game on.

Go Wings.

Most important part of the sentenced bolded. He's a rookie, he's going to suck at times. He was pretty decent when he first came up, he's just in a bad funk (along with most of the team lately). If he still sucks ass with the team a few years from now, then there might be an issue. But right now the kid needs some slack. He's not terrible, he's been serviceable for the team, and that's all we can ask for our young ones.

True...but don't forget we said the same thing about BIG E. I think he'll be okay...

The difference is that Ericsson played much better in the AHL, never being a minus player whereas Kindl was never a plus player.

Ericsson also made a big impact right off the bat in the playoffs and then had a sophmore slump.

Kindl has just kind of looked lost defensively since he turned pro.
