"It was great to see those guys," Modano said. "A lot of them were part of World War I, World War II, Vietnam; I mean these are guys who put their lives on the line for us and for our freedom. They sacrificed to give us what w have today in this country, so it was great to meet them and shake their hands."

haha nice call on the WWI. those guys must be about 110 years old.

Frank Buckles, America's last WWI veteran, turned 110 on February 1st. He lives in West Virginia. His daughter reads all of his mail to him. On top of being a WWI vet, he was captured by the Japanese during WWII while he was working as a shipping company in the Philippines. He spent 3 years as their prisoner, living with captured soldiers in a POW camp.
