Undisclosed health concern. As a result, Mike Haviland will act as head coach tonight for the Blackhawks.

I heard there were concerns with his "core" temperature. What, too soon?

That's too bad. I hope he's okay and that this is just a minor bump in the road for him. I will be keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.

One of my least favorite coaches of one of my least favorite teams... but this kind of news is always worrying.

Hopefully it was just a scare and he will be back on the bench soon. Best wishes Joel.

^ I don't understand how JQ could be one of any Wings fans' least favorite coaches. The guy has been beaten up by the Wings so many times in his career, its flat-out amazing. As long as he's nowhere near our bench...I love him. :D
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

Hope he's all right.

One of the biggest rival coaches of the Wings, how is it so inconceivable that he isn't my favorite? Didn't mean it on a personal level.

Also, the Red Wings have defeated Coach Q FAAAAAAAR more times than his teams have beaten us. Just saying.

Seems to be that he's doing fine. Good news.

Probably stress-related (Duh!), as in ulcers, colitis, etc...?

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

He'll be fine.
He has a small bleeding ulcer brought on by aspirin.
His doctor said he'll recover and get sprung in a few days.
