Aside from this being Todd Bertuzzi's 1000th game, this will be his 153rd game in a row. Incredible considering how injury prone he's been in the past. I don't think anyone would've thought that he'd be among our most durable guys for the next 2 years in the summer of 2009...

Is NBC doing a regional thing with the 3 games or will center ice be showing the other games? Since I live in Wyoming im at the mercy of the station and will be very upset if I have to miss the game because of this

Yeah, I think it's going to be regional. For a few days this week, my channel guide said "regional coverage" in the program info before it switched to NYR-PHI, the one I'm going to get. Thanks, NBC. I don't know how they figure this crap out...why not give the West the WESTERN CONFERENCE game? I don't think Center Ice is showing jack schitt, unfortunately. Also, the NHL Network is re-airing the Winter Classic, so we're screwed there, too. Argh, a stream would be ok, except I was really hoping to record this so I could watch the Daytona 500, which comes on around the same time, live. NBC strikes again.

DVR set - games at 11:30AM on a weekend are just stupid. Hope the guys do OK, but I won't be too surprised if they aren't top notch - what with being barely awake and those sunburns peeling and all.

Go, Wings, I will be home for the 4rd, I hope!!

:D

Guess I won't be watching...I get Caps-Sabers on my NBC stations. Center Ice has nothing listed for today. Guess I'll just have to do house work while listening to the game on the radio.

I'll check into the chat from time to time.

Everyone have a good Sunday.

Well courtesy of that fantastic TV deal with NBC, they aren't even offering the regional coverage on Center Ice. I purchase Center Ice because I want to watch Wings games because I'm outside of the regional market, as are a s*** ton of Wings fans. Thanks for defeating the whole purpose of why I pay $160 a season.

According to NBC here in Columbia, we get Pittsburgh @ Philly at 12:30, then Pittsburgh @ Chicago at 3:00. That's a tough schedule for the Pens today.

I'm amazed with the ManBearCats's roster, they are able to have 67 points. No Koivu means a Wings 4-1 win :)

I didn't even know Ken Daniels COULD work national games, that's pretty cool, though I wish he could cover the Wings game. Where are all the NBC crew if they're calling in Pat Foley and Ken Daniels?

Daniels has done a few nationally broadcasted games in recent memory. Him and Mickey have won a vast amount of broadcasting awards, so it doesn't surprise me other stations pluck our guys to do games once in a while.

Just a heads-up to everyone, you can watch the game free at NHL.com today if you are out of the regional broadcast area.

That makes it slightly better, but I'd still rather be watching it on my big screen instead of on my 15" laptop monitor.
