A couple of quotes this message board would like:

"Right now I'm working with Kenny Holland and I just shut my mouth and listen," he said. "I remember Brett Hull did a lot of talking in his first year as GM and he's not a GM anymore."

Chelios said he might become a coach. "I think coaching would suit me," he said. "That's basically what I've been doing in Grand Rapids lately."

"You can't meet him down in Detroit. Heck, you can't even get a ticket (to a Red Wings' game)."

Are we watching the same wings games?

I think the Wings have sold out the last 9(?) games.

Fans paid $20 each for an autographed Chelios photo and a Red Wings puck. Some even posed for a photo with Chelios for another $10.

A lot of players donate their autograph money to charity.

he either meant that you can't get a ticket to a Red Wings game for 5 bucks or that's his perception. It was that was for many many years and casual hockey fans still assume it is.

I say make him the assistant defensive coach!

What kind of color is red? Red is a warning, a declaration, a color that says I'm ready to do what it takes. Red is focused and driven because red doesn't like second place. So what kind of color is red? Their kind.

I just love that he trashed that ******* Brett Hull.

What's your problem with Brett Hull? Just because a guy talks too much doesn't make him an *******. He helped us win a cup, so he's fine in my book. I love the jab though.

Q: Of all the individual trophies you have not won, which one would you most like to win?
Datsyuk: I have so many of them that I haven't won. I think I would most like to win a trophy to the best goaltending duo.

The stories of bending cards and everything like that is true, I saw him do it first hand to a kid and the kid cried his eyes out. Yeah he helped win us the cup I will give you that, but ever since I saw that s*** I have never liked him. He is cocky too if you remember him doing the broadcasts on NBC for that one year where he was trashing Ray Ferarro and his career to Ray Ferarro in the intermission reports, and whatnot. Moral of the story is he is a far cry from his old man.

My experience with Brett was far different, and I don't think Chelios really has an issue with him because, when I met them they were hanging out together at Cheli's restaurant in Dearborn. (along with Shanahan and Tkchuck) We caught Brett walking thru the lobby, my buddy had just gotten back from Iraq. Brett invited us both in Chelios's private room where we met the rest of the players, they signed autographs and took pictures. Very nice.
