puckbags 863 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Im stuck between whether I want this team to bust out and have a big scoring night or a good defensive game. Thats easy to solve..we win 7-
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Everytime we "bust out" with a huge offensive showing, we follow that up with crap performances and CERTAIN players disappear! (see #93) Playoff style hockey Wings, this Blues team has been playing with a sense of urgency which needs to be shown as well to get the win. No predictions, win. I'll be having a poker party so I will have to win as well tonight while watching this. Let's do it!
DatsyukianDekes 2,428 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 hopefully we don't play against Halak, and they have added some firepower since we last played them with Stewart so we gotta be careful. Hopefully we show up for a 60 minutes in which we should win. 4-2 Wings.
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 We'll win this one. After yesterday's win and now on the road I think the wings will win this one by 2 or more goals. Hoping...as long as Howard doesn't do something stupid again.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I'll be satisfied if Bertuzzi and Franzen find something other than first gear waaay earlier in the game. I'll be grateful if Datsyuk and Zetterberg both start passing with more focus. I'll be thrilled if the Wings somehow find a way to zamboni Jackman. 1 55fan reacted to this
Krystal 41 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 No worries on Jackman, Vladifan. He and Alex Steen out 4-6 weeks as of a few days ago. St. Louis is down some serious firepower.. we should be able to handle this too.

GSBrooks13 204 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Well.. at least the Wings can't use the tired excuse.. considering they only played for all of about 5 minutes last night. I feel like all season I have been hoping to see a full 60 minute game.. maybe tonight?
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 We definitely need to play a full 60 minutes because if they keep thinking they can win a game by tieing it up with 5 seconds left in regulation and then go on to win in OT we're in trouble. More focus on getting the lead early and maintaining pressure throughout the whole game. I won't be here tonight, going to a friend's house to watch the game with her. Let's Go Wings!! InKennyWeTrust 126 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I'll continue with the bullsh*t optimist line... Jimmy's turned the corner and the defense is starting to bear down, the offense is working its way to acceptable. Good god that's hard to say with a straight face. 1 Vladifan reacted to this
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Just continue to be optimistic believing that they WILL turn things around and start playing more like the Wings we all want to see. 1 Vladifan reacted to this
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I'll continue with the TRUE optimist line... Jimmy's turned the corner FIXED. I also think that J Mac is getting the start tonight anyway. But we shall see....

Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 No worries on Jackman, Vladifan. He and Alex Steen out 4-6 weeks as of a few days ago. St. Louis is down some serious firepower.. we should be able to handle this too. He obviously is still able to read the schedule, eh? What a chickens***. 1 55fan reacted to this
InKennyWeTrust 126 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 FIXED. I also think that J Mac is getting the start tonight anyway. But we shall see.... That would make the most sense. This is one of the first times in the last few weeks that I'm more nervous with JMac than with Jimmeh.
Miss Wing Queen 154 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 No worries on Jackman, Vladifan. He and Alex Steen out 4-6 weeks as of a few days ago. St. Louis is down some serious firepower.. we should be able to handle this too. So were the Oilers. They should be able to handle this as long as they don't wait to handle it in the last 4 minutes of the game and into OT. Go Wings! 1 Vladifan reacted to this

MulesWillFly93 199 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 FIXED. I also think that J Mac is getting the start tonight anyway. But we shall see.... Howard in net tonight, apparently: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/03/jimmy_howard_back_in_net_for_r.html Eurgh, I don't know...back to back game against a team who knows how to beat us, especially when we're down? Not feeling great about this. Nevertheless, Gooooo Wings!! 1 Vladifan reacted to this
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Wings give up an early goal. Then JHoww gives up a softy and we scrape back with two PP goals and win this one in a shootout.

Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Howard in net tonight, apparently: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/03/jimmy_howard_back_in_net_for_r.html Eurgh, I don't know...back to back game against a team who knows how to beat us, especially when we're down? Not feeling great about this. Nevertheless, Gooooo Wings!! Yeah, why? I don't see a whole lot of logic in playing Jimmeh back-to-back. Not a good thing for future games if he gets a fatigue-related injury.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 Because Joey MacDonald would be better. I think this is the perfect situation for Howie to keep it going in back to back nights. Coaches know better.
