Cmon, I don't care how bad you think Mule is playing but lets get one thing straight, THE MULE WILL NOT SIT IN THE PRESS BOX...EVER...30-40 goal scorers do not sit in a league where goal scoring is at a premium.

Unless their name is Ilya Kovalchuk. :)

I know this post was a reply to someone else, but I couldn't resist.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

Here's to hoping for a Wings win!

I can't remember if it was the last time we played Ovie or the time before that, but we shut him down and he had 0 shots. A defensive performance like that against him and Semin would be a great way to get our defense kicking and ready for a good playoff run...

Going to the game, hopefully it'll be a good one and we'll come out with a W. Little nervous about it though

Hope you come back happy!

Joey Mac recalled. Might be waiting a little longer for Ozzie to get that start.

u missed bert.

I would like to see :

Zetterberg- Datsyuk- Homer
Cleary- Filpulla- Hudler
Franzen- Modano- Bertuzzi
Abs- Helm- Draper

Lidstrom- Rafalski
Kronwall- Stuart
Kindl- Ericson (with limited ice time until Salai is back)

- Hank needs Pavs to get him scoring goals again, and they are the best line in hockey when together anyways
- Franzen is useless and until he can get his ass moving deserves to be on the 3rd line, and to top that I think that would be a pretty good 3rd line if those 3 get moving...
- I think the 2nd line would work as they all work for the puck and they always seem to work well togther
- Nick and Rafi have always been the best D combo in the league since Rafi came here, if Babs is smart he will put them back together
- Kronners and Stu are awesome together

Franzen- Modano- Bertuzzi

This line has no written all over it. The proper plan would be to have someone who can distribute and skate the puck in effectively to feed to these floaters. Mo would not be that guy.

Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary

Please and thank you.

Do we know if Osgood or Howard is hurt due to the J-Mac call up?

Ovechkin OBLITERATED by a Datsyukian hit after Pavel makes a Datsyukian deke around Mike Green, where Ovechkin is clearly charging Dats, lining him up.

Pavel then DESTROYS Alexander Semin with a Datsyukian fight, in which Pavel simply trades punches with Semin, Probert-style. Semin, fighting the way he fights, only lands hammerfists to Dats' shoulder pads... none of which fazes Pavel, who then skates to the penalty box, signaling his championship belt around his waist.

Do we know if Osgood or Howard is hurt due to the J-Mac call up?

It's Osgood. They said he was sore after practice this morning. I say better safe than sorry even though I'm not happy.

My link

Detroit— Chris Osgood was hoping to be in uniform Wednesday night, backing up Jimmy Howard — but it won't happen.

Osgood, close returning from sports hernia surgery Jan. 11, felt soreness after Wednesday's morning skate. Because of that, the Wings promoted Joey MacDonald from Grand Rapids. MacDonald had been sent down Monday when Osgood was activated.

With the Red Wings playing in Columbus on Thursday, it's likely MacDonald will stick around for the next few days.

Osgood's return is to day-to-day.

MacDonald, 31, has appeared in 10 games for the Wings this season, with a 3-4-1 record and a 2.47 goals-against average.

Thanks Offsides

He'd be deking in the press box then. Posted Image
