Datsyuk, Rafalski Injury Update Thread

I didn't even realize Datsyuk was out. Damn center ice only had the FS Ohio feed and they didn't mention anything about it, of course.

On a side note....what's up with that tool Pethot? Cleary's roughing was weak, while he hit that guy in the face, they were having a pushing battle and the other guy just moved his arms and took one in the face instead. Then shortly after that PethotMethot straight up punched, who was it, Abby I think, in the face. He continued to be DB material throughout the game.

Marc Methot - he's always played with an edge, pretty decent defender actually, but he seemed to have an extra chip on his shoulder last night

the channel guide showed datsyuk's injury? :hehe:

If we were in Canada, they would have an update of a star player on every channel :hehe:

Followed by commercials of the ultimate collection of Anne Murray's greatest hits with Alex Trebek as the spokesman.

Great beer, hockey as a national pass-time, women allowed to walk around topless... Canada's nothing but a win in my book!

bleh, Canada beer isn't that special and you gotta go to a special store to get it. I will admit that they have the best cheap generic beer tho.

Ill stick to my beer down here.... I don't have time to take a loan out to afford my drinking habits up there... Lol

But back on topic, I really wouldn't mind Datsyuk or Rafalski taking an extra game off to just rest their injuries. Especially Datsyuk. It is extremely hard to get mad at the guys plays but between the 1 or 2 glorious moves and chances he has been playing sub par for his standards with a lot of bad passes through the middle of the offensive zone for turnovers... Seems very unPav like, hopefully he gets his head straightend out.

Did they both get injured drinking beer? Or is their injury status "out for a drink"?

Beer too expensive plus more alcohol which means a tougher time coming home, actually Lacrosse is listed ahead of Hockey as their National Pastime, and outside of the Ballet, I have never seen a woman walk around topless. (I know it's legal, but noone does it.) But hey, Canada is still the second greatest country in earth!

just messing with you!

I hope Datsyuk is ok to play soon!

Remember when they actually used to say what the injury was? "Lower body injury" and other vague descriptions were only really used in the playoffs.

Nowadays it's practically like "Datsyuk injury? Who's Datsyuk? I don't know anyone by that name, and if I did I would have no information on his injury."

They actually made Hockey apart of there national sport a couple years ago, and there is a ton of beaches in Toronto where woman walk around naked, just gotta find them.

I don't get why people need to know. With some of the idiots in the league, the team releases "datsyuk out with sore ankle", they hear "hit datsyuk in the ankle when he comes back". This close to playoffs, you don't want anyone knowing any possible weak spots.

Me too! We're headin' out to Deetroit to see both the Penguins and Canucks get their beehinds handed to them on a tarnished platter. Not asking too much, I don't think...?

Good stuff, have fun!

I'm 3 hours from Dee, so I'm driving there and back in the same day. Gonna call my friend tomorrow to set up details, but I'd like to leave about 2:00pm and get back at 2:00am. It'll be a long day of work on Tuesday, but so worth it!

Cros-by SUCKS! Cros-by SUCKS! Cros-by SUCKS!

I have decided not to wear my Crosby Sucks t-shirt on Monday. As much as I find Cindy annoying, and wanted to wear it at The Joe, I'm rooting for that dude to make it back... Edit: Then I'll wear my Crosby Sucks t-shirt

I shall be sheets to the wind, but won't be coming from me. I'll chant Matt Cooke sucks first. Sure it won't catch on either

I was thinking a Bettman Sucks chant may be a great replacement. I bought those tickets to say someone sucks!

Actually they did have the FSN-Detroit feed. It wasn't listed on the online guide but it was on Channel 771, which the channel guide also showed.

I think the Center Ice stuff is regional and also depends on your cable provider. My games are on channels 629-642, not in the 700s at all. There were a lot of games that night, and they had to cut somebody's feed out, it's usually Detroit. At least down here.

Wow. I must really be going blind then. I'm not being sarcastic either, my vision is getting worse and I could've sworn on more than one occasion I saw a P for his name. I had never heard of, or noticed, him before so I'll take your word for it. Just thought he was being extra douchey last night.

I want Methot. He can replace Salei. Is it possible? I have no idea but the Wings could use a defenseman with an actual edge. Not a guy who once kinda had an edge to his game (Salei) or a big oaf of a defenseman?( Ericsson)

Yeah, well, it's gonna happen.

Not from me, it ain't. I'm from the South Side of Chicago and those idiot fans embarrass me with their stoopid bleating.

I am totally with you on this. I've already thought about it - that I've got a big mouth and that s***head Cooke needs to hear from me. :shout:

Thanks Din! Oh and Barrie suggested a Bettman Sucks chant. That one isn't bad either. I personally prefer the Matt Cooke chant but you guys are the ones that gots the tix. I trust you guys. I'll be watching it for it for sure!

"Canadian Porn... Trust me when I tell you their universal health care system doesn't cover breast implants. If I have to sit through one more flat-chested Nova Scotian riding a Mountie on the back of a Zamboni, I'll go OOT of my mind."

When someone says Center Ice channel in the 770+ range, I assume they've got Directv which, despite its many other flaws (I want my BBC Amrica in HD, darn it!), tends to be extremely comprehensive in its HD hockey offerings.

So as a fan, you might have some idea as to what is wrong with one of the star players and when he might be back in the lineup?

As I said in my original post, I get that they do it in the playoffs, and it's a litte more excusable in the stretch run. But it hasn't always been like this. Now every injury is super secret, like no matter what part of the season guys are going to go after a weak spot.

And let's be honest, at this level if an injury is hampering a player in the slightest, there's a really good chance the other players will notice and have a pretty good guess what it is.
