Jonathon quick is now psychokinetic.

I wish I knew how to embed the video. I'm trying but it's not working

Edit* Ok figured it out. Enjoy.

From the original angle it looked like the puck had some weird spin on it and changed directions when it hit the ice behind Quick, but from the overhead it just looks spooky.

THIS...

I am uploading a copy I made with the replay slower than the one on the original.... Ill post when my upload to YouTube is done....

EDIT inserted "Quicksave"

It was Jesus. He saves. If it had exploded, killing both Quick and the puck, it would have got 72 virgin pucks in puck paradise.

Seriously though, puck changed direction soon as it touched the ice, so it's the skate (which was turned the same direction the puck went), puck spinning or the ice, or combination.

Its a cool video, but I think the puck was actually in the air before it took the odd-turn. If it was spinning and hit the ice at a weird angle, I could see it changing direction.

Either that, or Quick is an X-man with telekinetic powers.

Looking at the slower version of the replay, it looks like the puck does hit something on Quick (whether it's the stick, part of his equipment, etc) and then hits the ice at an angle that causes it to go wide. The overhead view makes it appear that the puck is at the same height the whole way through, but it's clearly not.

You both beat me to it...

I think if there was a replay showing it from another angle (e.g. side-on) it wouldn't look quite as weird.

You're right. NHL.com has it with a side view and it's not nearly as strange looking. Still pretty odd though.

I say pee on the pinging puck. I don't want to meet up with Nashville. They always give our guys fits. I'd sooner our guys play the Hawks because I truly think we can beat them, especially if everyone's healthy.

I'd change the title of this thread to "Why I don't want to play Anaheim in the first round".

8 wins in their last 10 without their #1 goalie.

Perry is looking like he could win the Rocket Richard and 40 year old Selanne is one point behind Zetterberg in points.

Not to mention:

Ryan Getzlaf (14th in pts)

Bobby Ryan (22nd in pts)

Lubomir Visnovsky (29th in pts)

In total 5 of the top 30 point leaders in the NHL are Anaheim Ducks.

I hope they keep winning and face Phoenix or something because this is not an opponent you want to face in the first round.
