Meh, Our team played well against a team that's playing for their lives. Goaltending was solid, defense was good, and offense was shooting the puck.

Hated the outcome, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

So.. lets see.. 1st period refs called everything a penalty.. 2nd period, although seemingly played the same way, they didn't call anything.. final 10 minutes of an otherwise great game with the score 2-2.. the penalties magically go 3-1 in favor of the team who is struggling to stay in the playoffs.. i think i finally understand parity.. <_< .. The penalty with 3.7 seconds left would have been a borderline call halfway through the game, but with 3.7 left in a 2-2 game thats not at all a necessary call considering some of the things they let go.. and at least most of the time you give a team a 4 on 3 they will score on it.. its a shame that everytime a Detroit goalie seems to have a good game the Wings still end up losing one way or another.

They're battling for their playoff lives. Detroit is 2nd overall.

Failed logic is failed.

Oh, Detroit wasn't trying to win this game? What were they doing then? Detroit was owned in this game, and would probably be owned in 7 game series with them. There is medicine for delusions, you know. "Chicago had more to play for" "Datsyuk wasn't in the line-up" Etc. We got our asses kicked. End of story. Spin it whatever way like to make yourself feel better. Chicago, despite all of their departures, is a better team than us. Be honest.

I'm not saying that there is absolutely no way we could beat them, I'm just saying I would not want to face them in the playoffs. I would not like our chances.

That was a good game horribly tarnished by pathetic officiating. I have zero problem if the Wings lose due to being outplayed, but I don't like it when the game is decided by the refs, regardless of the outcome. Both teams and their fans deserve to see a game where both sides show up, play hard, and the efforts of the players, not the refs or the mandates of the poison dwarf and his cronies, decide the final score. If there is a legit penalty either way call it. I don't want to see ticky-tack calls either way.

It was a penalty, once again take your blinders off.

I took the blinders off the first time you said it way back in the first period. All it did was help me see peripherally.

And it was still not a 5-10-game hit. Even after I took my blinders off.

If they get bumped out of the playoffs will you still be saying that?

It seems that Wings were rolling three lines in the third. Modano didn't seem to play in the period and Draper weren't on the ice after he was hi-sticked.

Not too surprising that Babs scaled back some guys' ice time. Remember that Bertuzzi was sent off fairly early in the game, so we didn't have a full compliment of forwards to use. Rolling 4 lines like that means someone's getting double shifted.

YES that was a penalty but when you let it go for the Hawks as many times as the refs did you have to let one go for the Wings.

2 worst non-calls

Holmstrom deserved a PS

Zetterberg interfered with negating a clean 2 on 1

This league just continues to piss on us
