I'm guessing even if Howard dresses, that he wont start right? I think Joey deserves another start anyways. Rest up Howard and get him in there against Nashville.

As for this game, the Blues played tonight so we need to put the pressure on them early. 5-3 Wings. Hank x2, Mule, Abdelkader, and Raffy

I can't find any information about Datsyuk. I don't even know what's ailing him....

I'm afraid he might have re injured his hand/wrist. Man I hope that's not the case!

He has lower body and he took some time to skate so I am thinking it's a groin or ankle. He has had ankle issues in the past and he did go into the boards kind of strange so I am guessing the amount of time it took for him to get out there skating is a sign it really was lower body.

Regardless, if it's without Pav then keep it going like last game. If we played that same style of hockey like we did against Chicago then this should be a steamrolling. I am attending and I feel like this should be a good a time as any to get a W. None of this OT stuff, win in regulation and keep on the Blues. This team doesn't have a whole lot to play for so they will be out there throwing caution to the wind because they are going against us and they know we have been exploited at home. PLAY 60!!!

mlive

The club will see how Pavel Datsyuk (lower-body injury) feels after Wednesday’s morning skate before determining his status for the game. Holland said he should return by the weekend (Saturday at Nashville or Sunday at home vs. Minnesota).

Nothing really to gain to play in this one other than to get his legs under him. Since I will be attending, please play. Thanks. thumbup.gif

So, the only game the Wings have won recently was against Toronto.. oddly enough thats the only game I made a pregame plea to the Wings in the GDT. With Toronto I was able to beg for a win so my facebook wouldn't get over run with cocky Leafs fans. That probably won't be the case now as I'm pretty sure I don't know a single Blues fan. So lets see..

Wings, you need to win this game to finally bring peace to the middle east! Don't let the terrorists win!

There, that should do.

LETS GO WINGS!

Jimmy will not dress tonight

@cotsonika: Jimmy Howard said he will not dress for Red Wings tonight against the Blues but expects to play Saturday at NSH

Doesn't look like Pav will play either

@cotsonika: Babcock said Datsyuk not ready to return tonight.

Also pav also said... "Still not sure about tonight. I still not skate like Helmer ... fast."

We played St. Louis a week or so ago. I remember because it was right after we played the Oilers and there was an enormous different in effort between the two teams. The Oilers were playing all out. The Blues were just going through the motions. Hopefully the same Blues team will show up tonight.

I feel like the Wings are going to have a great game tonight.

5 - 1 with Goals from Cleary, Franzen, Helm, Zetterberg and Lidstrom*

*Funny enough, Nick has the most goals on the Wings against the Blues this season with 4.
