The issue is one player isn't going to make the difference. Top to bottom (excluding the fourth line most nights) the team doesn't have any heart, desire, drive, effort, defensive awareness, you name it.

Holland needs to do something about the interchangeable pieces on this team because there needs to be some change in the lineup.

This Wings team isn't half as good as the 2009 team on paper.

Also, we don't have a proven playoff goalie, like we did in 2009. These are just some random stats from seasons past, with different scenarios.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 2002 month of March yet.

I don't see any guys there who are paramount to our success.

We'd just have to replace these guys with other 2nd or 3rd line forwards. I'm not talking about signing Ovechkin or anybody like that. Also, you could throw old man river (I mean Holmstrom) on that list.
