LOL i actually just made a thread like this without even seeing this post. I think Smith should go for Salei and Tatar/Mursak for Modano/Draper. Hudler I'm not ready to give up on yet, maybe if they actually put him with Datsyuk again he could.

As long as we have some speed and youth in I'm all for it...I said Hudler as I think I glanced up and saw him turn it over again

i think you should accept the fact that this just isn't a good team. at least not good enough to win the cup.

Not that I don't understand your reasoning but they remind of the Pistons 06-07. They looked like a bunch of heartless scrubs, but once the playoffs rolled around they tore it up. I'm hoping we are doing the same thing.

If I'm a doctor I'm prescribing the members of LGW one giantly massive chill pill... Cmon they are playing a desperate team who is most likely going to give Vancouver fits in the playoffs bottom line RELAX

Amen, I don't see what the big deal is, they will play Vancouver or San Jose and kill each other, I want the Hawks in the playoffs

well not one player had a good game.

dumb passes, dumb turnovers, bad coaching

down by 3 in the first and you dont change up the lines? dumb

IMO salei lost his job to kindl tonight he blew

no hustle, no battles being won, no effort.

got to play physical, looked pathetic all night. got their ass kicked

hope they wake up

Getting away from the game here, but whats the deal behind your username? I'm a huge trailer park boys fan, so I'm just wondering :D

yup :D

so do i man but having watched all 81 games so far i really doubt it

Any team is capable anything can happen look at Boston and Philly last year

true enough but i just don't think the wings are that kind of team. we're a team that wins because we were supposed to win. we're not going to "oiler" anyone.

Chicago can still miss the playoffs right? Dallas needs to win tonight and tomorrow and the hawks lose on Sunday in regulation. But I have no reason to believe they wont come out 10x harder than tonight in front of their home crowd and their playoff lives on the line, potentially

Normally next Wednesday or Thursday would be one of the most exciting days of the year, but I'm almost more fearful than anything of what the playoffs may hold.

I think it's pretty clear the Red Wings have no choice but to flip that proverbial switch or the Tigers will be the only team playing much longer in April.

We're getting Hudler back....oh....

don't worry guys, it's early....oh....

just wait until half our team isn't injured.....oh....

Franzen will be our trade deadline aquisition.....oh.....

Franzen is better than Fedorov...oh....

They'll flip the switch in the playoffs! (crosses fingers....)

Just an observation, but isn't it ironic that the sub-million dollar players are the ones that are playing the best?

I am so glad our farm team is full of Hudler's and Filppula's.... (I certainly hope Smith and Sheahan are as good as they are touted.)

We need an entirely new defense. Lids is finally human, Kindl sucks, Ericsson is showing why he was the last player drafted, Kronwall really has gotten bad over then last couple of years, Salei was a bad experiment. What are the Wings gonna do for defense in the off season? I really hope things turn around in the playoffs, I'd hate to see this team fall flat in the first round. I hope and hope above all hope that they turn it on, but if what we have seen the past couple months is the real identity of this team, then there really needs to be some major changes this summer....

The more I watch all these games and other games around the league, the more I am mad that we chose Franzen instead of Hossa. Hossa is MUCH better on the D side, and he seems to be trying every single game I watch for the Hawks. Perhaps more significantly is the fact that Hossa has only played in 65 games and has 26 goals, meanwhile Franzen has played 76 games and has 28 goals. Also, Franzen plays lazy half the time, while Hossa is a factor even when he isn't scoring, though it is still impressive for him to almsot have 30 goals. I am just very disappointed with Franzen and think we should heave kept Hossa. Regardless, babs better take Fraznen off of Datsyuk's line.

Hossa and Datsyuk was a deadly combo... Franzen and Datsyuk not so much. The playoffs I hope he steps it up big time.
