Oh I thought you meant the one where they can't beat the Hawks in the playoffs. <_<

I wouldn't call this a tradition... it's happened 2 or 3 times in the past 3 years...

Well, I guess it's better than throwing actual dead Canucks on the ice.

I'll be impressed when they start throwing the green guys on the ice.

Not sure why every fanbase thinks they need to throw dead fish out onto the ice. Or rats if you're Florida. Come up with something original. You already had the green men, Vancouver.
Check out my short e-book on the Red Wings' 1937 Stanley Cup championship entitled: "Nothing Could Keep 'Em Down." Please download it from my profile at Smashwords: https://www.smashwor...ile/view/victor

New e-book: The Spanish-American War: A Brief History. Relatively short, introductory read for casual history buffs and people who want to learn more about a forgotten war that changed America. Available at BN.com, Smashwords, Kobo, and Diesel E-Books right now. Same link as above.

How can a tradition ever be "new"?

When it's kinda unique.

Best part is Nashville fans think this is a rip off of their "tradition."
"Scotty hated the world and treated everybody the same, from me to Steve Yzerman,'' Legace said. ''Scotty would rip anybody, and had the personality of ant."

This thread makes me feel sad. If Vancouver had a new tradition I'd say it would be annoying me.

They can have their "new tradition"(?) all they want, as long as they continue their old tradition of losing in the playoffs
